The mysterious prototype has camouflaged front bumper. However, apart from the lack of sensors, there are no visible differences from the current production model. Looking closely at the body side, the rear fenders are disguised in the body color. It can also be seen that the Toyota emblem attached to the rear end has been painted black, and the car name badge has been hidden.
Is this an update following a minor change?

The rear fenders are painted the same color as the body.
It’s hard to imagine what Toyota is doing with this test vehicle, but a special edition isn’t out of the question. The current Corolla debuted as a base model in 2018, with the GR version arriving in 2022. It wouldn’t be surprising if further updates are planned following the facelift.
Given that the test vehicle was minimally disguised, any updates would likely be minor. It’s also possible that this prototype is from an early stage of development. At present, it’s difficult to say for sure, given the lack of information beyond these photos.
Performance improved with summer minor changes

Details are currently unknown, but it seems likely that it will be some kind of special version.
The GR Corolla’s minor change in August included a newly designed front bumper, which improved cooling performance and aerodynamics. The suspension was also strengthened with the adoption of an advanced rear coilover, stabilizer, and rebound spring, and launch control was added, among other updates. The 1.6-liter inline three-cylinder turbo engine now produces 304 PS and maximum torque, up 30 Nm to 400 Nm.
At this stage, the identity of this prototype is unknown, but there are rumors that it may be a further improved model or a special edition vehicle. We will introduce new information as soon as it becomes available.
