PORSCHE Cayenne Electric
Fully electric and ICE-powered models are planned

The Cayenne Electric will share a platform with its younger brother, the Macan, and Audi’s BEVs.
Both the internal combustion engine and the electric version will share the Porsche Cayenne name and likely share the same interior, but they will likely differ significantly under the hood, starting with the platform. The Cayenne Electric will use an extended version of the PPE architecture that underpins the Audi A6 e-tron, Q6 e-tron, and its sibling, the Macan Electric.
While it’s difficult to see the details of the design from the prototype we managed to photograph this time due to the camouflage, one thing we can say is that the Cayenne’s headlights and grille styling will likely be similar to those of the Macan.
Will the top grade BEV have over 1000PS?

The Cayenne Electric may also be available in a 1,000-horsepower version inspired by the Tesla Model X Plaid.
The entry-level Cayenne Electric will likely share its powertrain with the higher-spec Macan, likely using the dual motors in the Macan 4S and Macan Turbo, which produce a combined maximum output of 516 PS (380 kW) and 639 PS (470 kW), respectively.
Meanwhile, the high-performance Cayenne Turbo is likely to adopt the 884 PS unit found in the Taycan Turbo or the 952 PS unit found in the Taycan Turbo S. A high-performance version featuring the 1,034 PS (760 kW) motor found in the Taycan Turbo GT is also believed to be under development, in order to compete with the rival Tesla Model X Plaid.
Will the new model be delayed?

The Cayenne Electric was originally planned for release late this year or early next year, but…
The next-generation fourth-generation Porsche Cayenne was expected to debut as an electric vehicle (BEV) in late 2025 or early 2026. However, with Porsche rethinking its BEV strategy, the launch date may be delayed.
