Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut
Introducing newly developed software

The Jesko Absolut, driven by test driver Markus Lund, is equipped with the newly developed software “Absolut Overdrive.”
On August 7, Koenigsegg Automotive brought the Jesko Absolut to Årebro Airport, a freight line in central Sweden, and factory test driver Markus Lund took the wheel. Lund, who has experience in various time attacks, set a new world record for a production car 0-400-0 km/h in 25.21 seconds under harsh conditions.
The Jesko Absolut used in this time attack is equipped with the newly developed software “Absolut Overdrive,” which has achieved a significant performance boost and will be gradually introduced to customer vehicles in the future.
Christian von Koenigsegg, founder and CEO of Koenigsegg Automotive, commented on the new record:
“This time attack demonstrates the significant advancements being made in the drivetrain system developed in-house by Koenigsegg. The synergy between our engineering and development teams, coupled with the excellent combination of cutting-edge software and mechanics, made it possible to achieve this impressive time.”
2.5 seconds faster than 2024

The latest software, fine-tuning of the transmission and engine management, and the introduction of a torque control system have resulted in a 2.4-second improvement over the time recorded in 2024.
Despite the unfavorable conditions on the test day, with the roads still wet from the rain that fell the day before, the Jesko Absolut proved its status as the world’s fastest production car in the demanding time attack, thanks to its powerful 5.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, low drag levels and advanced traction control management.
The Lund achieved 0-400-0km/h in 25.21 seconds and 0-250-0mph in 25.67 seconds, an astonishing 2.5 seconds improvement over the 27.83 seconds achieved by the same Jesko Absolut in 2024.
“Koenigsegg’s software engineers have fine-tuned the transmission and engine management systems, and have also introduced a new torque control system that provides unprecedented precision in controlling grip levels,” added Christian von Koenigsegg.
The times were recorded using industry standard equipment manufactured by Racelogic, and the recorded data was verified for accuracy by Racelogic.
