AC Cobra GT Series production expansion

In addition to its UK production base, production will also take place at T-Engineering’s Trollhattan plant, significantly increasing production volumes for the AC Cobra GT series.
AC Cars has signed a new strategic partnership agreement with T-Engineering, based in Trollhättan, Sweden, to expand production capacity in response to growing global demand for the AC Cobra GT Series. Established in Sweden in 2011, the partnership with T-Engineering, which serves a variety of major automakers as clients, will secure AC Cars greater production capacity.
T-Engineering will begin manufacturing the AC Cobra GT Coupe and GT Roadster at its Trollhattan plant. In addition to providing production equipment, T-Engineering’s control technology will also be utilized in AC Cars’ electrification of its lineup.
AC Cars CEO David Konza expressed his delight at the partnership agreement with T-Engineering.
“We are truly honored to enter into this partnership with T-Engineering. This partnership will enable AC Cars to utilize their world-class development team and various facilities. This will not only support the expansion of AC Cobra GT series production, but will also dramatically increase the speed of vehicle development.”
Also utilizing the test base “T Legacy Track”

With the signing of this partnership agreement, vehicle development will be carried out not only at production facilities but also by utilizing T-Engineering’s vast testing facility, “T Legacy Truck.”
The partnership agreement includes support from T-Engineering’s technical staff, access to its engine lab and assembly space, as well as the use of the T Legacy Track test facility in Trollhättan, which is capable of handling a wide range of test and validation programs, and is likely to see a range of AC Cars vehicles tested in Sweden.
“The addition of AC Cars’ production facility in Trollhattan, Sweden and testing facilities to its South Coast production base and German engineering division will dramatically improve AC Cars’ production capacity and development speed. With the technical support of T-Engineering, performance updates are also expected. T-Engineering CEO Claus Lundgren added the following about the collaboration with AC Cars:
“This partnership between T-Engineering and AC Cars is very exciting. We are honored to be able to support their vehicle development and provide a manufacturing base. We are confident that we will fully support AC Cars and develop a great collaboration for the future.”
