BMW exhibited mainly M models such as the BMW M5 at Tokyo Auto Salon 2025. Based on the concept of “THIS IS BMW,” the M models exhibited, including the M5, M2 Competition, i5 Touring M60 xDrive, and M4 Competition M xDrive, were not standard, but fully equipped with BMW M Performance Parts, genuine BMW tuning parts that are not available at regular dealerships and are being shown in Japan for the first time.
The M5, a plug-in super saloon boasting 727 PS, is equipped with aero parts from the front to the sides and rear, totaling over 2.5 million yen, making it a must-see. Other BMW sports coupes, the M4 and M2, are also fully equipped with aero parts, as well as driving parts such as center locks, asserting the presence of M models as direct descendants of motorsports.

At the BMW booth, a talk show will be held to introduce the importance of genuine parts and the appeal of dealer services. A wide variety of topics are planned, including “Services at Authorized Dealers,” “The advantages of genuine parts against the recent rampant proliferation of counterfeits,” “Motorsports,” “Introduction to the exhibit vehicle (M2),” and “Talk show with racing drivers Seiji Ara and Masataka Yanagida.” Pierre Kitagawa, official Super GT announcer, is scheduled to appear as the MC.
Also on display was BMW Motorrad’s flagship sports bike, the M 1000 XR. The BMW booth was designed to be enjoyable for both four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles.
