A Porsche 911 GT3 RS prototype spotted at the Nürburgring has been fitted with a revised front bumper and headlights, while the rear has also been noticeably updated, with new air outlets at the corners of the bumper and new LED taillights, just like the other 992.2-generation models.
The diffuser has also been redesigned, which appears to have improved aerodynamic efficiency and the aggressiveness of the exterior.

While there have been rumors of a hybrid powertrain for the GT3 series, the 2025 GT3 will retain its naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, and the RS is likely to follow suit. However, Porsche engineers appear to have struggled to comply with emissions regulations, and while the latest GT3 maintains a maximum power output of 510 PS, maximum torque has been reduced from 470 Nm to 450 Nm. To compensate, the final drive ratio has been reduced by 8%.
If Porsche were to apply the same method to the 2026 GT3 RS, it would likely maintain the current 525PS output, but torque would likely drop by around 20Nm from 463Nm, though the same final drive modifications would likely bring it closer to the current 0-100km/h time of 3.2 seconds.
The last naturally aspirated, non-electric model

This generation is likely to be the last 911 GT3 RS to feature a purely naturally aspirated engine.
Porsche’s head of motorsport road cars, Andreas Preuninger, acknowledges that tightening emissions regulations will mean the 4.0-liter flat-six will need to incorporate hybrid or turbo technology from 2026 onwards, so this will be the last non-turbo, non-hybrid model.
The next-generation 911 GT3 RS will likely be released as early as 2024, or by autumn 2025 at the latest.
