Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 HF
WRC champion Biasion participates in development

Miki Biasion, a two-time WRC champion with Lancia, played a central role in the development of the privateer rally car, the Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 HF.
Lancia has developed the “Epsilon Rally 4 HF,” a privateer rally car based on the first model of its revival, the “Epsilon.” The Epsilon Rally 4 HF is equipped with a 1.2-liter inline 3-cylinder turbo engine that produces a maximum output of 214 PS, and drives the front wheels via a Sadev 5-speed manual transmission and a mechanical limited slip differential.
Miki Biasion, who has twice won the World Rally Championship (WRC) Drivers’ Championship driving the Lancia Delta, played a central role in the development of the Ypsilon Rally 4 HF. Biasion is not only responsible for the development of the rally car, but also for the development of the high-performance Ypsilon HF.
Now, Lancia has announced a collaboration with Sparco for the 2025 season. In addition to safety equipment for the Ypsilon Rally4 HF, Sparco will provide professional gear (suits, undersuits, gloves, shoes, etc.) for participating crews in the “Trofeo Lancia,” a one-make rally series introduced in the Italian Rally Championship.
Luca Napolitano, CEO of the Lancia brand, commented on the collaboration with Sparco:
“We are delighted to partner with Sparco on our return to rallying. Sparco’s long-standing passion and expertise in motorsport aligns perfectly with Lancia’s vision. With the Epsilon Rally4 HF, we aim to respect Lancia’s motorsport heritage while continuing our journey with an innovative and sustainable approach.”
Lancia Trofeo winner gets ERC entry

The Lancia Trofeo will be held in the Italian Championship from 2025. The series champion will be given the right to compete in the 2026 ERC with an Epsilon Rally4 HF.
Lancia’s official return to rallying, and the debut of the Ypsilon Rally4 HF, is scheduled for the opening round of the 2025 Italian Rally Championship’s “Trofeo Lancia,” which will take place over six rounds of the Italian Rally Championship starting in April 2025.
Drivers participating in the Trofeo Lancia will drive an Epsilon Rally4 HF and will receive support including technical clothing, hospitality, technical support, parts supply during the rally, media coverage, etc. A total prize pool of 300,000 euros will also be available, with financial support being awarded to the winners of each round and the series champion.
Sparco will supply the Ypsilon Rally4 HF’s seat belts, steering wheel, pedals and the latest fiberglass Matrix racing seats. Trofeo Lancia drivers and co-drivers will also receive a complete racing apparel kit, including racing suit, undersuit, gloves and shoes, developed to meet the highest standards of safety, comfort and performance.
The winner of the Trofeo Lancia series will join Team Lancia Corse HF and, with support from Lancia and Sparco, will have the opportunity to compete in the 2026 European Rally Championship (ERC) driving the Ypsilon Rally4 HF.
