Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+
Mercedes-like front end introduced to “EQS 450+”

With this latest improvement, the EQS 450+ comes standard with Mercedes-Benz-like chrome louver radiator grille and bonnet mascot, clearly highlighting its status as a flagship EV.
Mercedes-Benz’s first fully electric luxury model, the Mercedes-Benz EQS, was introduced to the Japanese market in 2022. The EQS was built on a newly designed and developed dedicated platform, and features an exterior design that takes advantage of the packaging unique to electric vehicles. Its advanced beauty, which pursues aerodynamics, has been highly praised.
The new EQS, which has just been introduced in Japan, has undergone major updates, including a revised exterior and equipment, an increased battery capacity, etc. The EQS 450+ comes standard with a Mercedes-Benz-like chrome louver radiator grille and a bonnet mascot, giving it a design befitting a flagship.
The interior of the EQS 450+ is equipped with the impressive touch-screen MBUX Hyperscreen as standard. It also comes with a soft door closing function, which allows the doors to be closed with less force, and a new electric charging flap, greatly improving convenience.
Large-capacity battery provides a range of 759km

This time, the battery capacity has been increased to 118.0 kWh, achieving a driving range of 759 km, the longest of any EV sold in Japan.
The EQS 450+ is equipped with the rear-mounted electric powertrain “eATS” and delivers a maximum output of 360 PS (265 kW). The battery capacity has been increased to 118.0 kWh, extending the range on a single charge to 759 km. This range is said to be the longest for an EV sold in Japan.
The electric motor is a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PSM), which has a permanent magnet attached to the rotor of an AC motor, eliminating the need to energize the rotor. The electric motor is a six-phase motor with two three-phase windings, which allows it to deliver extremely powerful power.
The high-performance Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ is equipped with eATS in the front and rear, producing a maximum output of 658 PS (up to 761 PS when using RACE START). The range on a single charge is 659 km. The torque shift function allows for continuously variable distribution of drive torque between the front and rear electric motors, optimizing the front and rear drive force distribution at all driving speeds.
“MBUX Hyperscreen” comes as standard

The EQS 450+ comes standard with the MBUX Hyperscreen, a single pane of glass screen that spans the entire width of the front seats.
The EQS 450+ comes standard with the large curved display unit “MBUX Hyperscreen.” The MBUX Hyperscreen consists of a 12.3-inch cockpit display, a 17.7-inch OLED media display, and a 12.3-inch OLED front display. Three displays are placed behind a single cover glass, creating a huge screen that stretches out in front of you, spanning 1,410 mm in width. The media display and passenger seat display use high-definition OLED displays with haptic feedback.
If you select the “Exclusive Package” for the “EQS 450+”, the seat material will be changed to nappa leather. It also comes standard with executive seats that improve rear seat comfort, neck and shoulder warmers, seat heater plus, multi-control seat function, chauffeur position switch, design belt buckles, and the MBUX rear entertainment system. The “AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+” comes standard with rear executive seats.
The rear seats now feature an electric backrest angle adjustment function that can be adjusted up to 38 degrees. By using the chauffeur position switch, the position of the front passenger seat can be adjusted from the rear seat, and the seat depth can be extended by approximately 50 mm. Vehicles equipped with executive seats do not have the rear seat adjustment function.
