The Cadillac XT4 was introduced in Japan in 2021 as a strategic model for Cadillac in the globally popular compact SUV segment. Its stylish proportions and dynamic driving feel have made it very popular both domestically and internationally.
The updated Cadillac XT4 being introduced in Japan this time adopts Cadillac’s latest design language for both the interior and exterior. The exterior features a new front and rear fascia, the interior incorporates new metal inserts, and the instrument panel has been redesigned.
The improved front section of the new model features vertically-positioned LED headlights at both ends of the body and horizontally-positioned turn signal lamps at the top of the front grille, highlighting the latest Cadillac. This emphasizes the wide and low silhouette. The gloss black sports mesh grille features the Cadillac crest, creating a dignified, sporty presence.
The rear section has been redesigned with vertical reflectors and bumpers to improve visibility. The design has evolved to a more stable feel, emphasizing the athletic, muscular body. The new 20-inch diamond-cut aluminum wheels are a luxury addition.
Aerodynamics have been improved to reduce air resistance and improve quietness. The front grille is equipped with an active grille shutter that closes as needed to optimize aerodynamic characteristics. The lower rear fascia features a diffuser shape that smoothly guides airflow, and the twin exhausts are beautifully integrated.
Interior featuring “real materials”
The sporty interior, which combines a jet black main color with blue stitching, is luxuriously made with “real materials” such as real leather and carbon fiber.
The interior also expresses the latest Cadillac design language. The main color of Jet Black is combined with blue stitching accents to create a high-quality, sporty space. New metal inserts, high-quality leather trim, and real carbon fiber door trim continue Cadillac’s tradition of using real materials.
The long wheelbase of 2775mm ensures a spacious interior and ample luggage space. Not only does it have class-leading rear legroom, but cargo space is 637L under normal conditions, which can be expanded to a maximum of 1384L by folding down the rear seats.
The luxurious instrument panel features a curved design and a 33-inch 9K resolution advanced color LED display with excellent visibility, supporting smart driving. Furthermore, the AKG 14-speaker audio system, developed by AKG, a manufacturer of sound and recording systems, works in synergy with the robust body and laminated sound-insulating glass to provide an exquisite acoustic space.
Highly efficient 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder turbo engine that produces 230 PS
The 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder direct injection turbo engine features an Active Fuel Management System that shuts down two of the four cylinders under low load conditions.

The twin-scroll turbocharger delivers sharp response even at low rpm, and the Active Fuel Management system shuts down two of the four cylinders under low load conditions to improve fuel efficiency.
The 9-speed automatic transmission boasts smooth and seamless gear changes, enhancing agile acceleration and fuel efficiency during high-speed cruising. The Twin-Clutch AWD system, which prioritizes performance and high efficiency, achieves precise handling with its torque vectoring function that controls drive torque between the left and right rear wheels.
The Cadillac XT4 Sport introduced in Japan comes standard with advanced safety features and driver assistance systems that provide peace of mind. The Emergency Braking System uses cameras and sensors to detect vehicles and pedestrians and automatically applies the brakes to support the driver in an emergency.
The Rear Camera Mirror is normally used as a rearview mirror, but can be switched to a digital mirror to display a wide-angle rear view. By utilizing the angle adjustment and zoom functions, it improves visibility and provides a safer driving environment for drivers.
