Ford GT Mk IV

A track car that surpasses GT machines

The Ford GT Mk IV was developed as a track car based on a GT racing car, and was designed to pursue performance without being bound by regulations.

The Ford GT Mk IV, unveiled in 2022 as a track-only model, will be limited to 67 units. While most of the 67 have already been delivered to customers, Ford Performance has begun accepting orders for the remaining vehicles. In response, Ford and Multimatic Motorsports will begin final production of the GT Mk IV’s carbon fiber chassis in August 2025.

The Ford GT Mk IV is based on the GT racing car that won its class and finished third at the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. Ford and Multimatic engineers were free to pursue performance without being bound by road traffic laws or motorsport regulations. The body, powertrain, and suspension have all been redesigned and specially tuned for leading track events.

The car is equipped with a third-generation 3.8-liter V6 EcoBoost twin-turbo engine, updated from the original specification. Developed by Roush-Yates Engines, it produces a maximum output of over 831 PS and drives the rear wheels via a clutch stronger than that used in GT racing cars and a paddle-shift six-speed sequential transmission.

Exclusive track days for owners also available

Ford Performance and Multimatic will host a track day dedicated to the Ford GT Mk IV, with professional drivers and factory staff supporting the car.

The suspension employs Multimatic adaptive spool valve dampers, optimized for the advanced track-specific suspension and allowing the driver to adjust the suspension from the cockpit while on the move. The carbon fiber chassis also features an upper roll cage exclusive to the Ford GT Mk IV.

Its bespoke aerodynamics generate more than 2,400 pounds of downforce at speeds up to 150 mph, allowing the GT Mk IV, with a professional driver at the wheel, to achieve faster lap times than the original Ford GT GTLM race car driven by a factory driver.

Ford Performance and Multimatic are offering every owner an exclusive customer experience through “Multimatic on Track.” This private track day includes factory technical and trackside support, and owners can participate in in-depth testing and lead-and-follow sessions with development driver Scott Maxwell.

Owners will also have the opportunity to receive personalized, one-on-one coaching from professional drivers from Ford Performance and Multimatic Motorsports. After the track day, the Ford GT Mk IV will be thoroughly inspected and serviced to prepare it for its next track experience.
