Renault Twingo E-Tech
Twingo revival announced for November 2023

The all-electric Twingo E-Tech concept will be unveiled at Capital Markets Day in November 2023 and will be shown to the public for the first time at the Paris Motor Show.
Renault will unveil the all-electric Twingo E-Tech concept at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, which will be held at the Palace of Versailles near Paris from October 14 to 20. Developed by Renault subsidiary Ampere, the Twingo E-Tech had its world premiere in November 2023 and will be shown to the public for the first time at this Paris Motor Show.
The Twingo, whose first model debuted in 1992, gained immense popularity due to its adorable style and excellent packaging. The second generation debuted in 2007, and the current third generation model debuted in 2014. The third generation Twingo, which adopted a rear-engine, rear-wheel drive layout, was also very popular in the Japanese market, but sales in Japan will end in 2023.
In November 2023, Renault announced at its Capital Markets Day in Paris that the Twingo would be reborn as a fully electric compact car priced under 20,000 euros. The Twingo E-Tech, with retro styling reminiscent of the original Twingo, was unveiled.
A fusion of modernity and homage to the original

The exterior is a modern update of the design of the first-generation Twingo, which was a best-seller mainly in Europe, and incorporates many details that make it instantly recognizable as a Twingo, such as the striking headlights and monospace style.
The Twingo E-Tech was developed as a compact EV that sits in a lower segment than the EV series “4 (Quatre) E-Tech” and “5 (Cinq) E-Tech” that Renault plans to launch.
The car features a minimalist design that makes it easy to maneuver and a highly convenient five-door hatchback style. The monospace silhouette, reminiscent of the first generation, incorporates a fixed glass roof, filling the spacious interior with bright light. It can be said that this car embodies Renault’s philosophy of “cars for life (voitures à vivre).”
The exterior incorporates details inspired by the first-generation Twingo. The LED headlights create a fun look reminiscent of the original Twingo. The striking round door handles that span the two doors on the left and right have also been carried over from the first generation.
The rear section also features taillights reminiscent of the first-generation Twingo. The black trim around the rear window creates a modern atmosphere, and a newly designed “Twingo” name badge has been added to the center of the tailgate.
