The newly added Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet is an open-top model that combines an exterior design exclusive to AMG with an interior that exudes high performance.

The windshield deflector reduces wind from getting into the cabin, the air cap consisting of a draft stop behind the rear seats, and the “Air Scarf” that can warm the neck make for a comfortable open-air drive even when the outside temperature is low. The soft top can be opened and closed electrically within 20 seconds at speeds of 60 km/h or less.

Compared to the CLE 200 Cabriolet Sport (ISG), the CLE 53 Cabriolet’s body dimensions are 4855mm in length (+5mm), 1935mm in width (+75mm), and 1435mm in height (+10mm), and it features wide fenders exclusive to AMG at the front and rear. This creates a powerful exterior befitting an AMG model. There are seven body colors available, including paid options.

The front section features a shark nose, new headlight shapes, and an AMG-exclusive “A-shaped” grille. Large air inlets in the radiator grille and two cross-fin air inlets direct a large amount of fresh air into the engine bay.

The side sections feature a beautiful, flowing cabriolet design, with large flared fenders and standard 19-inch AMG alloy wheels. If you choose the optional “Leather Exclusive Package”, you can get 20-inch AMG alloy wheels.

Equipped with an improved 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder turbo

The power unit is a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder "M256M" gasoline turbocharged engine that produces a maximum output of 449 PS and a maximum torque of 560 Nm. — The power unit is a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder “M256M” gasoline turbocharged engine that produces a maximum output of 449 PS and a maximum torque of 560 Nm.

The 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder “M256M” gasoline turbocharger is combined with a 48V electric supercharger and ISG. Based on the conventional “M256”, newly designed inlet/outlet channels and piston rings have been adopted, and improvements have also been made to the optimal fuel injection and turbocharger, resulting in a high maximum output of 449 PS (330 kW).

The supercharger has also been improved, with a maximum boost pressure of 1.5 bar, generating a maximum torque of 560 Nm (600 Nm during approximately 10 seconds of overboost). The ISG has also been updated, delivering an additional maximum power of 23 PS (17 kW) and maximum torque of 205 Nm.

The acoustic soft top, with its excellent sound insulation and weather resistance, significantly reduces the noise level inside the cabin. When closed, it achieves the same high level of quietness as a standard body. The soft top can be opened and closed not only when the vehicle is stopped, but also while driving at speeds up to 60 km/h, in less than 20 seconds.

The front seats are equipped with seat heaters, and if you select the optional “Leather Exclusive Package,” seat ventilators (driver and passenger seats) are added in addition to the seat heaters. The acoustic soft top is standard in black, and can be selected from red and gray as options.

Cockpit with three large displays

The cockpit is equipped with a 12.3-inch cockpit display and two 11.9-inch high-resolution displays.

The cockpit features a driver-oriented design typical of AMG. It is equipped with an ergonomically laid out 12.3-inch cockpit display and two 11.9-inch high-resolution displays. The central 11.9-inch media display is tilted approximately 6 degrees towards the driver. To prevent reflections from sunlight, the media display’s angle can be adjusted in two stages.

Ambient lighting has been introduced to the dashboard trim, each operating switch panel, door panels, and air outlets. The interior trim is equipped with “Black Open Pore Wood Interior Trim” as standard. By selecting the optional “AMG Dynamic Package”, “AMG Carbon Fiber Interior Trim” is installed.

The seats are available in two colors of nappa leather (black & tonka brown/black), and if you select the optional “Leather Exclusive Package,” you can choose from two colors of AMG nappa leather (black & power red/black). The “Leather Exclusive Package” also includes the “Multi-Control Seatback Package” and seat ventilators.
