The Ferrari 296 GT3 wins the opening round of the ALMS

At the opening round of the Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS) held at the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia, the Ferrari 296 GT3 dominated the podium, achieving its 100th victory in less than two years since its debut.
In Race 1 of the GT class, Car Guy Racing’s Ferrari 296 GT3 #57 won, beating AF Corse #51 (Custodio Toledo/Cedric Zvirazzoli/Riccardo Agostini). In third place was Kessel Racing #74 (Dustin Blattner, Ben Tuck, Dennis Martial). Antonello Coletta, Ferrari’s Global Head of Endurance Racing & Corse Clienti, expressed his delight:
“Our fantastic result in Sepang is a source of pride for us and a testament to the excellence of this project. Our drivers, led by official driver Daniel Serra, and the Car Guy team achieved a memorable 100th victory in the fiercely competitive ALMS.”

100 wins in racing series around the world
The Ferrari 296 GT3 has accumulated victories in GT races around the world, including this opening race at Asian Le Mans, achieving 100 wins in just two seasons.
Since its debut in January 2023, the 296 GT3 has achieved many important race victories, including victory at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in the same year and the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2024. This victory in the opening round of the Asian Le Mans Series brings its cumulative win total over the two seasons to 100.
In 2024, the 296 GT3 was updated to LMGT3 specifications and debuted in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Vista AF Corse’s #54 car (Thomas Flor, Francesco Castellacci, Davide Rigon) won the 6 Hours of Fuji in Round 7, and #55 car (François Hélio, Simon Mann, Alessio Rovera) won the 8 Hours of Bahrain in the final round.
The 296 GT3 won eight driver’s titles and five team titles in the various series it competed in in the 2024 season alone. Including its debut year, it has accumulated 12 driver’s titles and eight team titles. Including the 296 LMGT3’s wins in the WEC, of its 100 wins, 24 were overall victories and 76 were class wins.
“The 296 GT3, including the LMGT3 version, has reached the milestone of 100 wins in less than two years since its debut, including extraordinary results such as Ferrari’s first-ever victory at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and this year’s victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona,” added Coletta.
