BMW F 900 XR Metropolitan Expressway
Appearing on the Metropolitan Expressway from December 2024

The BMW F 900 XR, delivered to Shutoko Patrol Co., Ltd. in November 2024, will begin operation on the Shuto Expressway from December.
The BMW F 900 XR, which BMW Motorrad began selling in February 2020, is a motorcycle equipped with BMW’s cutting-edge technology. It boasts a parallel twin engine that boasts powerful driving performance, as well as high levels of safety, including an anti-hopping clutch that improves vehicle stability and Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR), which reduces rear wheel slippage that tends to occur during sudden throttle operation or downshifting, making it a popular motorcycle in Japan.
This time, Shutoko Patrol Co., Ltd. has become the first imported motorcycle brand to adopt the BMW F 900 XR as its patrol bike, citing the fact that “taking into consideration safety, speed, durability, etc., it is expected to provide stable cooling performance and power supply functions in a variety of situations.”
The vehicle delivered to the Metropolitan Expressway Patrol will be unveiled at the Metropolitan Expressway Ohashi Base on November 5, 2024. It is scheduled to begin operation as a patrol bike on the Metropolitan Expressway from early December.
