Subtly enhancing the off-taste

In this remote coastal area, the LX600 equipped with the Delta Force Oval stood tall and dignified. The harsher the environment, the more its allure stood out, like that of a ruby jewel.

This car is worn by Shingo Nozawa, the man behind Autolbies, a skilled craftsman who supports the lives of local people who survive in harsh environments and creates global car culture, as his everyday wear. The LX600 and the Oval really captured his heart. He deliberately brought the Oval, which enhances the outdoor atmosphere, to the LX600, which has a strong impression of being an urban premium SUV, and combined it with off-road tires to roll. The car subtly enhances the off-road feel without compromising the unique Lexus worldview.

The LX600 incorporates the concept of “Luxpedition.” This is a portmanteau of “Luxury” and “Expedition,” which means adventure or exploration, and can also be described as executive off-road. It is the ultimate mobility that allows you to travel “comfortably” not only in the city or on the highway, but also in the jungle or desert. In fact, this is the “off-road” grade of the LX600, which emphasizes off-road capability.

A casual look that seems natural and worn to the max.

The tires are Toyo Open Country R/T (LT275/55R20). The white lettering on the sidewalls and the satin black wheel color blend in with the body color.

Considering this, the oval wheel seems like a natural choice. There are many wheels that look great in outdoor settings. However, the oval wheel is not overly earthy, and exudes a stylish atmosphere even when brought into the city. This has made it popular with high-end SUV users, and you can see it coordinated in all sorts of outfits on the streets. It’s not just the surface design that makes the Oval look good. It’s also because, like the LX600, it offers high performance. The Oval is developed with a special design for each vehicle model. For the LX600/Land Cruiser 300, the flow forming method was adopted in the pursuit of greater strength and rigidity. The rim portion of the cast wheel is spun (hot forged) with a roller to form the inner rim. This method ensures high strength and rigidity. Behind the elegant concave face of the disc, this wheel embodies “high performance,” as symbolized by the “FF” engraved on the rim. It seems that the LX600 is not the only vehicle that beautifully expresses “Luxpedition,” but the Delta Force Oval is no exception.
