Purchased by racing driver Hewitt
The 3,000th Radical, an SR3 SR3 XXR, was ordered by British racing driver John Hewitt, who has been racing with Radicals for many years.
The 3000th car, an iconic Radical Motorsport SR3 XXR, rolled off the production line at the company’s Peterborough headquarters in the UK to be delivered to long-time customer and Radical Cup UK racing driver John Hewitt.
To mark this special occasion, the vehicle is a unique one-off chassis that has been given a bronze powder coating and is fitted with bronze wheels and decals that pay tribute to Radical’s racing heritage.

Radical has achieved sustained profitability despite the challenging economic climate facing the UK automotive industry. At a time when the wider automotive industry is facing reduced production volumes and economic uncertainty, Radical’s focus on niche markets, close customer relationships and motorsport programme has enabled it to achieve a record production of 3,000 cars.
The 3,000th vehicle was delivered on the 28th anniversary of the company’s founding
The car was delivered to John Hewitt on January 28th, the same day Radical was founded. The SR3 SR3 XXR was equipped with special features befitting the 3,000th Radical.
The first model, the 1100 Clubsport, was delivered to the first customer at Brands Hatch Circuit in April 1997. The commemorative delivery of the 3,000th vehicle will take place on January 28, 2025, exactly 28 years after the company was founded. Dan Redpath, Chief Commercial Officer of Radical Motorsport, commented on the milestone of 3,000 units produced:
