Aston Martin DBX707
The reborn DBX

The first minor change saw the exterior and powertrain remain largely the same, but the interior was completely redesigned.
Aston Martin has been releasing new models one after another recently, such as the Vantage, DB12, and Vanquish. It’s surprising that a brand of Aston Martin’s size can update its models at such a pace, but it shows how fierce competition is in the luxury market. Of course, it’s also proof that Aston Martin has the strength to take on the competition.
The driving force behind Aston Martin is the DBX. Although it was a relatively latecomer to the luxury brand’s SUV scene, its beautiful form and excellent driving performance have made it the most popular vehicle in the lineup. Just over five years after its release, the DBX has been reborn as a new model. However, as you can see, it’s so similar to the previous model that it’s hard to call it a new model. This shows how highly regarded the DBX’s design is, which may be a welcome development for owners of the previous model.
The biggest difference in appearance is the door mirrors, which now move to adjust the angle, not just the mirror itself, but the entire car, including the cover. This is a system that has been introduced in other Aston Martin models, but since the mirror area is larger because it does not move, it can be said that this has great practical benefits.
Completely updated to the latest design

[1] The basic design is the same as other models, but the dash panel and other parts have a unique design unique to the DBX. Apple CarPlay can now be connected via Bluetooth. [2] The high-quality leather is also of a sufficient size. The glass roof is vast, but when the shade is closed it is no different from a normal roof.
Owners of the previous model, relieved to see that there are almost no differences when they look at the exterior, will likely sigh when they open the door. The interior has been completely revamped to Aston Martin’s latest design. The shift button is an orthodox lever type, and the engine start button and drive mode selection switch are integrated into one, with rotary switches for audio volume and air conditioning temperature control placed around it, making the switches very easy to use even with a touch.
The DBX has ample height, and practicality has been very well thought out, with a smartphone storage space under the instrument panel that can also be used for charging, and a bridge-shaped center console with storage space underneath. The driving position is perfect, visibility is excellent, and the test car is a gorgeous red leather color, which naturally makes you feel glamorous. Opening the glass roof shade makes you feel like the main character on the red carpet.
707PS as the name suggests

[1] When sport mode is selected, the air suspension automatically lowers the vehicle height. The front brakes are 6-pot and come standard with carbon ceramic rotors. [2] The V8 twin-turbo uses a hot V configuration. Thick aluminum tower bars and brace bars increase rigidity. [3] The door mirrors now move as a whole to adjust the angle. The mirror area is now one size larger.
The engine and transmission remain the same. The DBX was available in a standard model and a high-performance version, the 707, but orders for the standard model have now been suspended. This vehicle is also a 707, and as the name suggests, it delivers 707 PS and 900 Nm of power. In terms of customer choice, it would be better to have a standard model, but I wonder if it will be revived in the future.
As before, the car behaves much more gently than you’d expect from its 707PS V8 twin-turbo specs, but the new model seems to have slightly smoother handling. Even though it hasn’t been announced, refinements in this area may have been made. And when you step on the gas hard, the 2.2-ton body is pushed out with furious force, but unlike other high-performance SUVs, the power delivery is gentle, as you’d expect from Aston Martin. The mature British behavior, including the not-too-loud sound, is truly comfortable.
