Following the Ghibli and Levante, the Grecale now comes in a special edition called “Nero Infinito,” based on the theme of “black,” a color that is particularly popular in Japan and has played an important role in various cultures.

“Nero Infinito,” the name of the Maserati Grecale mid-size crossover, means “jet black” in Italian. Its profound hue exudes elegance, luxury, and a sense of dignity, exuding a modest yet undeniable presence. In Japan, too, black has long played an important role in traditional crafts and architecture, and the color black, created by the exceptional skills of artisans in lacquerware, ink, and black lacquered furniture, has been celebrated for its profound beauty.

The Japan-exclusive Grecale Trofeo “Nero Infinito” model is a commitment to the black exterior color often chosen by Maserati customers. Following the Ghibli and Levante, which first appeared as part of the “Nero Infinito” series in 2022 and received positive reviews, only 10 units will be available as the Grecale’s top-of-the-line “Trofeo” trim.

The exterior is the most popular “Nero Tempesta” finish in Japan. The deep black finish is complemented by 21-inch matte black wheels from Forli Serie with black calipers, creating a bold and unified appearance.

The theme color of black is combined with crimson premium leather to create a sporty and passionate interior.

The interior is primarily black, and is upholstered in deep red premium leather from Foriserie, creating a powerful and fiery contrast. Combined with the jet black exterior, the result is a finish that exudes both refined elegance and dynamic passion.

Takayuki Kimura, President of Maserati Japan, commented on the Grecale Trofeo “Nero Infinito” as follows:

“Black is a symbolic color chosen by Japanese customers, who are particularly particular about design and style, as it reflects their aesthetic sense. This limited edition car further elevates that sophisticated worldview of black, with meticulous attention paid to detail from the exterior to the interior. The captivating presence of the jet black and the contrast created by the premium materials make this a car that will highlight the owner’s individuality.”
