The Range Rover Sport SV is based on the premium SUV Range Rover Sport, and is a high-performance model equipped with a powerful power unit and exclusive interior and exterior lavishly accented with carbon fiber. A limited run of 75 units will be sold domestically in 2024 as the “EDITION ONE,” and due to its popularity, a limited run of 95 units of the “EDITION TWO” will be introduced in 2025.
On the other hand, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 is a Maybach version of Mercedes-Benz’s top-of-the-line SUV, the GLS. It features a dazzling grille with delicate vertical louvers and an exquisite rear cabin designed for chauffeur-driven driving.
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS is 240mm longer than the Range Rover Sport SV, with a wheelbase 135mm longer. This benefit is used to create ample rear seat space, and a “First Class Package” is also available, with individual seats reminiscent of those found in passenger aircraft.

The interior of the Range Rover Sport SV features a large 13.1-inch curved touchscreen placed in the center, and is characterized by a minimalist interior that does not include physical switches or trim. As with the exterior, the interior also incorporates racy carbon fiber components. In contrast, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS has a luxurious interior that is lavishly appointed with leather and chrome parts.
The Range Rover Sport SV is equipped with a 6D Dynamics suspension that combines active dampers and active roll control, and carbon ceramic brakes with Brembo 8-piston calipers, making it superior to sports cars on the circuit. In contrast, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, although it has more than 500 PS of power, is designed for high-speed cruising only.
If you want to sit in the cockpit and take the wheel yourself, the Range Rover Sport SV would be the best choice, as it offers sports car-like driving not only in everyday driving but also on the circuit. If you want to leave the driving to a personal driver and relax in the back seat, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS would be the best choice.
