INEOS Grenadier
Restructuring of supply chain

Many automakers are facing a global parts shortage. In response, Ineos suspended production of the Grenadier in September 2024. Now, with the supply chain restructuring in sight, the factory will resume operations in January 2025.
INEOS Automotive suspended production of the Grenadier and Grenadier Quartermaster at its factory in Hambach, France, in September 2024 due to a shortage of critical components. Now, following a restructuring of the supply chain, the company has announced that production will resume in January 2025, as parts supplies are now in sight.
Following the decision to reopen the factory, Ineos Automotive CEO Lyn Calder issued the following statement:
“It’s fantastic news for us that a solution was found so quickly. The automotive supply chain is extremely complex, but we were not willing to compromise on quality. We are now fully focused on preparing for the restart of our Hambach plant in early January.”
“By the summer of 2024, we expect to have sold as many Grenadiers as we did in all of 2023, and will have delivered more than 20,000 Grenadiers by the end of 2024. With our entry into new markets like China and Mexico, and significant sales growth in the United States, we are confident that 2025 will be our best year yet.”
“Once again, we would like to thank our customers for their patience as they awaited delivery, and we look forward to handing over the keys to the Grenadier to you very soon.”
