Second-generation Macan colors revealed
The Porsche e-Bike Cross Performance EXC, which comes in a choice of Porsche model colors, has been updated with the new color “Provence,” which was introduced with the second-generation Macan.
Premium electric bike manufacturer Rotwild and Porsche are releasing a joint project, the Porsche e-Bike series, in 2021. Currently, four models are available: the Porsche e-Bike Sport for city riding, and the mountain bike-style Porsche e-Bike Cross, Porsche e-Bike Cross Performance, and Porsche e-Bike Cross Performance EXC.
The high-performance Porsche e-Bike Cross Performance is equipped with Fox Factory suspension, a Shimano motor and a 12-speed rear derailleur, and a large-capacity 630Wh battery, delivering top-level riding performance not only in urban areas but also off-road.
In addition to the seven existing colors, five new Porsche original colors have been added to the Porsche e-Bike Cross Performance EXC: Provence, Purple Sky Metallic, Vanadium Gray Metallic, Jet Black Metallic, and Carrara White Metallic. Provence is a new color introduced with the second-generation Macan in 2024.
Introducing a new suspension fork
This update introduces a newly developed suspension fork with 120mm of travel.
This latest update combines the ultra-lightweight carbon frame designed by Studio FA Porsche (Porsche Design) and developed in collaboration with Rotwild with the newly developed Fox Float 34 Performance Elite suspension fork, which offers 120mm of suspension travel and allows for delicate control on rough terrain.
To improve visibility and visibility, a new high-performance lighting system, the Supernova Starstream X Pro front light, is installed. In high beam mode, it emits up to 1,000 lumens. The saddle rails are fitted with a newly designed Topeak BeSheen rear light.
The electronic powertrain continues to be powered by the reliable Shimano EP-801 motor, and battery capacity varies depending on the frame size, with the S size coming with a 504Wh battery and the M and L sizes with a 630Wh battery.
The Porsche e-Bike Sport, designed for city riding, is equipped with Zentis Mount-X carbon wheels in a five-spoke design. These wheels offer high torsional rigidity and, like other carbon fiber components, contribute to a lighter weight and a more direct riding experience. The Porsche e-Bike Sport is available in beige only.
