Porsche 911 GT3

Two specifications based on the 992.2 model

Porsche Japan began accepting orders in Japan on December 6th for the new 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 Touring Package (pictured), which had their world premiere in October 2024.

Porsche offers two specifications: the 911 GT3, which is more specialized for driving, and the 911 GT3 Touring Package (pictured), which offers a comfortable driving space.

This time, two performance-focused versions based on the new 992.2 model made their debut simultaneously: the circuit-focused 911 GT3 with a rear wing, and the slightly more modest 911 GT3 Touring Package.

The new 911 GT3 features a sharper design at the front and rear, with significant aerodynamic updates. Both versions feature a reshaped front diffuser and a revised spoiler lip. Improved underbody fins increase downforce and optimise airflow throughout the vehicle.

The 4.0-liter horizontally opposed 6-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine delivers a maximum output of 510 PS. The engine itself has an improved cylinder head, and the sharp camshaft inherited from the 911 GT3 RS delivers even more dynamic performance at high revs. Flow-optimized throttle valves and an optimized oil cooler have also been adopted.

The final drive ratio of the 7-speed PDK and 6-speed MT is 8% shorter than that of the previous model. Both transmissions are available for both the 911 GT3 and the 911 GT3 Touring Package. The PDK-equipped model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 311 km/h (3.9 seconds, 313 km/h for the 6-speed MT).

With a thorough focus on lightweight design, the newly developed lightweight aluminum wheels reduce unsprung weight by more than 1.5 kg compared to the previous model. The newly introduced 40 Ah lightweight lithium-ion battery reduces the weight by a further 4 kg. In the lightest version, the new 911 GT3 weighs just 1,420 kg.

First introduction of the “Rear Seat System” with rear seats

The 911 GT3 Touring Package is the first to feature a rear seat system, which significantly improves usability in everyday driving.

The cockpit is equipped with a newly developed “lightweight sports bucket seat” with a retractable backrest and a CFRP seat shell as an option. The seat has a built-in chest airbag, electric height adjustment, manual fore-aft adjustment, and seat heaters can also be added.

As many drivers wear helmets when driving on the circuit, some of the headrest pads are now removable. Thanks to the folding backrest function using loops, the 911 GT3 Touring Package is the first to feature a rear seat system with rear seats. In addition, instead of the sports bucket seats, customers can also choose the Adaptive Sports Seat Plus (with 18-way electric adjustment).

The digital instrument panel features a simple display and control concept. The contrasting color scheme allows the rev counter and stopwatch to be read accurately even during intense driving. The car also features a rotary ignition switch, rather than a starter button like the Carrera model.

Vehicle price (tax included)
