Mercedes-Benz Classic Genuine Parts
Replacement parts available within 24 hours

Mercedes-Benz Heritage’s replacement parts for historic cars, Mercedes-Benz Classic Genuine Parts, supplies a wide range of replacement parts within 24 hours, including the R129 SL shown in the photo.
To obtain the coveted “H number” plate, a classic car certificate is required in accordance with Article 23 of the German Road Traffic Act (StVZO). H numbers are available for vehicles that are more than 30 years old, and this certificate certifies that the classic car is in good original condition.
With its services, Mercedes-Benz Heritage plays a major role in keeping not only classic cars, but also relatively new vehicles from Mercedes-Benz’s history, in optimal condition, regardless of whether they have an H-number plate or not.
Particular attention is paid to drivetrain and safety-related parts, and Mercedes-Benz Heritage’s “Mercedes-Benz Classic Genuine Parts” offers a lineup of approximately 160,000 spare parts, many of which can be delivered within 24 hours through nearly 3,000 authorized dealers in 170 countries around the world.
Mercedes-Benz Classic Genuine Parts also offers a range of replacement parts for the 1995 W210 E-Class, W124 E-Class Coupe, first-generation Vito and R129 SL, which will be eligible for the H number system from 2025.
Mercedes models introduced in 1995

Mercedes-Benz introduced a variety of models in 1995, the year the H number plates were available. The Vito, which was released as a commercial van, was also eligible for the H number plates if it was manufactured in 1995.
In January 1995, the W124 E-Class coupe model, the E200 Coupe, which had previously only been exported to Italy, Greece, and Portugal, began to be sold in Germany. The W202 C-Class also underwent a minor change in September 1995, expanding its engine lineup.
In June 1995, Mercedes-Benz announced the second-generation E-Class. The W210 E-Class was characterized by its distinctive four-lamp round headlights at the front. This model introduced the “Classic,” “Elegance,” and “Avant-garde” feature lines. When the W210 was first released, the lineup included four diesel engines, five gasoline engines, and the 4.3-liter V8 “E 420” that produced a maximum output of 347 PS.
The updated W129 SL was first unveiled in September 1995. It was the first facelifted Mercedes-Benz sports car of this generation. In addition to minor design changes, the SL 500 and SL 600 models received engine upgrades, along with the adoption of a five-speed automatic transmission. Xenon headlights and a glass hardtop were available as options to coincide with the facelift.
“Vito” was the new name adopted for Mercedes-Benz’s small commercial van in the mid-size segment. The W638 Vito was unveiled in Madrid in October 1995. This commercial van, positioned below the Sprinter, went on sale in Germany in March 1996.
