Advance applications for the “Edition Black Stars” can be made through the “Web Business Reservation” on the Mercedes-Benz Japan official website. If there are any vehicles available for sale after November 21st, reservations will also be accepted at regular showrooms.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE, which now comes in a special edition “Edition Black Stars,” is a premium SUV with an exterior design that expresses the strength and sportiness of an SUV, a high-quality interior, and excellent driving performance both on and off-road. The interior and exterior design was completely renewed in a full model change in June 2019, and the GLE Coupe is a seven-seater with three rows of seats. The GLE Coupe is a stylish coupe SUV based on the GLE.
The two models announced in September 2023 as improved versions will be available in limited editions: the GLE 450 d 4MATIC Sports Edition Black Stars (ISG) and the GLE 450 d 4MATIC Coupe Sports Edition Black Stars (ISG). Only 100 units of each will be introduced to the Japanese market.
The GLS is a premium SUV with a body size that can comfortably accommodate seven adults in three rows, and excellent driving performance befitting an SUV. The new GLS, which was introduced in December 2023, also saw the release of its first limited edition model since the new model’s launch: the GLS 450 d Edition Black Stars (ISG), limited to 80 units.
After
applying in advance through the online showroom, pre-orders can be made through the online showroom as well as through the Mercedes-Benz authorized dealer network nationwide if a vehicle is available for sale. Deliveries are scheduled for November 2024 or later.
Chic black exterior
The exterior body color is “Obsidian Black (Metallic),” which is combined with the “Night Package” that adds black accents.
The “Edition Black Stars” available for the GLE and GLE Coupe is based on the “GLE 450 d 4MATIC Sports” and “GLE 450 d 4MATIC Sports Coupe,” and features an “Obsidian Black (Metallic)” body color. This special edition vehicle is also equipped with the “Night Package” featuring black accents throughout, and black “22-inch AMG aluminum wheels (RPJ)” that are one inch larger than the standard wheels.
The interior is also unified in black, just like the body color. The high-gloss black finish and flowing line design of the MANUFAKTUR High-Gloss Black Flowing Line Piano Lacquer Wood Interior Trim give the interior of the car an elegant and luxurious style.
Jet black piano lacquer wood interior
The interior is fitted with the “MANUFAKTUR High Gloss Black Flowing Line Piano Lacquer Wood Interior Trim”, which is not normally available.
The “GLS Edition Black Stars” is based on the “GLS 450 d 4MATIC (ISG)” and is equipped with the “AMG Line Exterior”, which is usually an optional feature. The body color is “Obsidian Black (Metallic)”, and the “Night Package” exclusive to special edition vehicles is combined with “22-inch AMG Aluminum Wheels (RPB)” with black accents that create a three-dimensional effect on the wheels.
The interior is equipped with the exclusive “MANUFAKTUR High Gloss Black Flowing Line Piano Lacquer Wood Interior Trim.” The steering wheel is a “genuine leather-wrapped sports steering wheel (nappa leather),” creating a sportier and more active atmosphere.
