The Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Final Edition being introduced in Japan this time is based on the most powerful grade, the A 45 S 4MATIC+, and is available in the A-Class’ first exterior color, AMG Green Hell Magno (Matte), as well as Japan-exclusive colors, MANUFAKTUR Mountain Grey Magno (Matte) and Polar White (Solid).

The “AMG” emblem is placed on the hood and “45 S” decals are placed on the door panels, highlighting that this is the last limited edition model of the “A 45 S 4MATIC +”. In addition, yellow and black accents have been added to the entire exterior, including 19-inch AMG forged aluminum wheels exclusive to the final edition. In addition, aero parts such as a fixed rear wing improve stability at high speeds.

The Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Final Edition will be introduced in Japan in a limited run of 300 units. 50 units will be sold in AMG Green Hell Magno, 150 in MANUFAKTUR Mountain Gray Magno, and 100 in Polar White.

The base model for this limited edition is the A 45 S 4MATIC+, which is equipped with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder “M139” turbo engine that produces a maximum output of 421 PS (310 kW) and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. This powerful four-cylinder engine is equipped with a twin-scroll turbo Camtronic charger and a variable valve lift system called “CAMTRONIC.”

In addition, the torque curve is similar to that of a naturally aspirated engine, with maximum torque generated in the range of 5000 to 5250 rpm. This allows you to enjoy an emotional acceleration feeling in a variety of situations. The engine also has improved response and acceleration, and the rev limit is set to 7200 rpm, giving it engine performance on a par with that of a pure sports car.

This engine has the turbocharger and exhaust manifold at the rear of the engine, and the intake manifold and other intake systems at the front of the engine. This allows the engine to be mounted lower, contributing to maneuverability and improved aerodynamics.

The front seats are also engraved with “45 S”.

The front seats feature the “AMG Performance Seats” and feature the “45 S” logo exclusive to the limited edition model.

The interior features exclusive equipment such as the “AMG Aluminum Interior Trim” and “Yellow Illuminated Step Cover” exclusive to the “Final Edition.” In addition, the headrests of the driver’s and passenger’s “AMG Performance Seats” equipped with multi-control seatbacks are engraved with “45 S” in yellow accents. Following the exterior, this emphasizes that it is a limited edition model.

The AMG Speedshift DCT 8-speed DCT not only provides extremely natural acceleration across the entire speed range, but is also set up to provide quick shifts and optimal gear changes when upshifting, resulting in agile, dynamic and satisfying acceleration and deceleration.

The exhaust system is equipped with automatically controlled flaps that allow the driver to switch between a balanced sound and a motorsport-inspired exhaust sound depending on the selected drive mode.
