HYUNDAI Ionic 6

Major front-end revisions

The prototype, photographed during a high-temperature test run in southern Europe, is covered in Hyundai’s trademark black panels. However, even through the camouflage, it is clear that the car has undergone significant changes compared to the Ioniq 5, which was updated earlier this year. The most striking feature is the front-end design, including the shape of the hood and the positioning of the lights. This has been a hot topic of criticism in the current model, and is urgently in need of correction in the facelift.

The hood of the current model has been designed with both ends cut out to fit the integrated headlight units. On the other hand, the square shape of the prototype’s hood can be seen even from above the cover. This design does not provide space for the headlights, so the lights appear to have been moved to the bumper. Judging from their size, the LED daytime running lights are positioned just below the hood line, and the main headlight units appear to be hidden underneath.

The rear changes are harder to spot, but there’s a good chance the LED taillights will have a new shape and graphics, and the undercarriage will likely feature new wheels with a new design.

The 650PS Ioniq 6 N is also available.

The battery will also be increased from 77.4kWh to 84kWh in this minor change, which is expected to extend the range to around 700km. The current power unit will continue to be used, and will be available in a single motor version with a maximum output of 228PS and a dual motor version with a maximum output of 324PS. It is also highly likely that a high-performance version called the “Ioniq 6 N” will be released on the market, equipped with a twin motor setup with a maximum output of 650PS and a transmission with paddle shifters.

The world premiere of the updated Ioniq 6 is expected to be in 2025, but the “N” model is likely to debut later.

First glimpse of the prototype of the RS 5 sedan, the top model in the Audi A5 family!

Will the new Audi RS 5 Sedan be released with over 670 PS, the highest in its segment? [Scoop!]

Audi unveiled the new A5 Sedan/Avant in July. The production prototype of the top-of-the-line model, the RS 5 Sedan, has now been captured on camera for the first time. Audi has been gradually introducing even-numbered model names for EVs and odd-numbered models for internal combustion engine vehicles. With this full model change, the A4 has been renamed A5 for both the sedan and wagon. The same goes for the new RS grade, with the RS5 being the successor to the current RS 4.
