The Temerario was unveiled to a large audience of car enthusiasts at Monterey Car Week in August 2024. Instead of the naturally aspirated V10 engine inherited from the Gallardo and Huracan, it has been reborn as a plug-in hybrid super sports car, combining a newly developed 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo with an electric motor.
The Huracan EVO, launched in 2019, has revamped aerodynamics, particularly in the front section. The underbody shape has also been improved, resulting in a significant increase in downforce. Compared to the Temerario, which incorporates Lamborghini’s latest design element, the hexagonal motif, the new model features a sharper, more edgy form.
The Temerario is 186mm longer, 33mm wider, and has a 38mm longer wheelbase. The dry weight of the Temerario, which is equipped with a 3.8kWh lithium-ion battery, is 268kg heavier than the Huracán EVO.

Following the Revuelto, the Temerario has also made the move towards electrification, and is equipped with a newly developed 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine and a plug-in hybrid system that incorporates three electric motors. The system’s maximum output is 920 PS, which is 280 PS more than the Huracan EVO. Thanks to this overwhelming power, the Temerario, which is over 250 kg heavier, is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 0.2 seconds faster than the Huracan EVO.

The Temerario’s cockpit has a calm atmosphere and incorporates a 12.3-inch full digital meter display, a vertical 8.4-inch center display, and a 9.1-inch passenger display on the passenger side. The interior of the Huracan EVO has a 12.3-inch full digital meter display and a vertical 8.4-inch touchscreen, almost the same configuration as the Temerario. Many physical switches remain, making it clear that 10 years have passed.
In terms of pure performance, the Huracán EVO cannot compete with the Temerario, which has the big power of electrification. In terms of efficiency, the Temerario also has an EV mode with a range of 10km. Still, the appeal of the Huracán EVO, with its refined naturally aspirated V10 engine, which has become a rare breed in the modern super sports car market, remains undiminished.
If you want to experience the good old super sports car, it is well worth choosing the Huracan EVO RWD Spyder, which is still available as a catalog model even after the introduction of the Temerario.
