The BMW 3 Series, synonymous with sports sedans in the premium compact segment, is BMW’s best-selling model, combining sporty design with excellent driving performance. It evolved into its seventh generation in 2019, with an updated seventh-generation model being released in 2022. The model being introduced in Japan this time is a partially improved version of the updated seventh-generation 3 Series. The 3 Series Touring, a station wagon based on the 3 Series Sedan and featuring ample luggage space, evolved into its sixth generation in 2019, with an updated sixth-generation 3 Series Touring being released in 2022. Like the sedan, it has undergone some improvements based on the partially improved sixth-generation model.

The lineup of the newly introduced partially improved model also includes the M Performance models “M340i xDrive” and “M340i xDrive Touring” developed by BMW M. The “M Sport Package Pro” including the newly red-painted “M Sport Brakes,” blacked-out kidney grille, light shadow line, M seat belts, etc. will be standard equipment. The “i (injection)” at the end of the grade name, which has been omitted since the “1 Series,” is still alive and well in this 3 Series.

The 330e, which is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system, comes standard with a sound package including a Harman & Kardon sound system, a TV tuner, and acoustic glass, as well as high-quality Vernesca leather seats. The car’s product appeal has been significantly enhanced, with a driving range of 85 to 101 km in EV mode.
