CALLUM SKYE

An interior that combines practicality and luxury

The interior of the Karam Sky is clearly differentiated from many rival fully electric SUVs. While simple, the use of luxurious materials creates a luxurious interior.

Based in Warwick, UK, Callum was launched in July 2019 and offers cutting-edge technology in design, 3D modelling, full vehicle engineering, development and homologation testing, machining, trim services, etc. Callum has now unveiled the luxurious interior of its proprietary all-wheel drive, fully electric off-roader, the Callum Sky.

The Callum Sky’s 2+2 cabin clearly differentiates it from rivals in the same category. The interior, combined with the tough and sophisticated exterior, is fitted with carefully selected high-quality materials and finishes, providing the perfect balance between practicality and luxury. Alec Jones, Callum’s head of design, explained the interior design of the Callum Sky as follows:

“While the Callum Sky has a tough exterior, its interior has also been carefully designed to create a delicate and premium space at every touchpoint.”

“Through clever design, the interior is simple, but not simplistic. It exudes a light, airy and sophisticated feel within a compact cabin. This is a careful balance of opposing elements, combined with an exterior that people can understand and enjoy.”

The fully electric SUV, Karam Sky, which had its world premiere in May 2024, was designed as Karam’s first commercial model.

The Callum Sky, which will have its world premiere in May 2024, was designed and engineered from scratch by Callum. It is Callum’s first production car design for its own brand. With a sophisticated style reminiscent of a buggy, it has been developed to provide an exhilarating driving experience both on and off-road.

Equipped with a 42kWh lithium-ion battery, the car will have a planned range of 170 miles (273 km). With a length of 4047mm, a width of 1900mm and a weight of just 1150kg, it will accelerate from 0 to 60mph in under 4 seconds, delivering sports car-like performance.

The range will include a “dynamic” version for customers who primarily use the car on-road, and a “capable” version for tougher terrain and off-roading. The “capable” version, which features a durable interior, is due to be unveiled in 2025. Prices will range from £80,000 to £110,000.

The specification unveiled this time is finished in Callum’s signature color, Vitamin C Orange, with accent loops and door surrounds in a contrasting Satin Gunmetal Gray.

The interior features Arctic Pearl White leather sports seats with Vitamin C Orange contrasting accents on the base color.

The interior features Bridge of Weir leather sport seats in Arctic Pearl White with a supple, semi-aniline finish up front. The vibrant white leather is accented with Vitamin C Orange contrast accents. The leather pull straps on the doors and glove compartment, the steering wheel and the seats also feature twin stitching in the same tone.

For added vibrancy, Callum’s signature ‘Deconstructed tartan’ is digitally printed on the leather of the door cards, centre console and glove box, again with Vitamin C highlight stitching.

The luxurious interior is hand-trimmed by skilled craftsmen at the Bridge of Weir Advanced Design Studio within Callum’s Warwick factory.

In July 1987, Ford acquired 75% of Aston Martin’s shares and brought it under its umbrella. As a result, the new generation Aston Martin was developed as the “DP1999,” or “DB7,” which was unveiled at the 1993 Birmingham Motor Show.
