Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO
Improved performance in harsh environments

Based on the 296 GT3, which has been a huge success in GT series around the world, updates have been made to suit real-world racing, including improved aerodynamics for use in polluted air environments.
The development target for the Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo, which will be introduced from the 2026 season, was clear: based on the 296 GT3, which made its debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2023 and has been successful in GT series around the world, update its aerodynamics, responsiveness and adaptability to each circuit.
The car was developed by Alessandro Pier Guidi and Alessio Rovera, Ferrari’s works drivers in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). Their extensive experience with the 499P and 296 LMGT3 allowed them to provide extensive feedback tailored to real-world racing. The results include improved aerodynamics, new front and rear suspension settings, and a shorter gear ratio to optimize acceleration in low-speed corners.
“There was nothing wrong with the performance of the 296 GT3 itself, as its clean lap pace is essentially the same as the previous model, but the improvements that have been introduced can make a big difference during a race when various factors combine,” explains Guidi.
Reflecting the opinions of many customers

The development program in which Guidi and Rovera participated also reflected the opinions of many customers who actually compete with the 296 GT3.
During development testing at the Monza circuit, engineers worked closely with the two drivers to comprehensively evaluate all updates, imagining the different circuits where the car behaves differently. This process also involved a selective approach to solutions in order to achieve a more balanced and versatile setup.
“This time, I had the opportunity to drive the standard GT3, which many customers drive, and was able to gather a lot of data. I feel that I have grown as a driver during the development of the 296 GT3 Evo. I would like to make the most of these updates to further increase our competitiveness in actual races,” said Rovera, looking back on the development program.
The 296 GT3 Evo will be introduced in GT series around the world from the 2026 season. A kit that can update existing 296 GT3s to Evo specifications is also expected to be sold.
