The “Baby Lambo,” which has supported the backbone of Lamborghini along with the Gallardo and Huracan, will be redesigned into the latest Temerario in 2024. Following the Revuelto, which was released with a 6.5-liter V12 naturally aspirated engine and three motors, the Temerario was developed as Lamborghini’s second “High Performance EV (HPEV)” equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain developed in-house.
Prior to the Temerario, Lamborghini will facelift its best-selling model, the Urus, in 2023. In addition to updating the interior and exterior, the company will also introduce the Urus SE, a plug-in hybrid powertrain model based on a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine.
Compared to other luxury SUVs of the same class, the Urus SE has a low-slung, sporty appearance, but when placed next to the full-fledged mid-engine Temerario, the size difference is clear: the Urus SE is 417mm longer, 345mm longer in wheelbase, and 437mm taller. There’s also a 500kg difference in vehicle weight.

The Temerario uses a plug-in hybrid system that incorporates three motors into a newly developed 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine. The system boasts a maximum output of 920 PS and a maximum torque of 730 Nm. The Urus SE has the same displacement but a different 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with one motor, producing a slightly more modest maximum system output of 800 PS.
The Urus SE leaves average super sports cars behind with a top speed of 312 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, but the Temerario easily surpasses it with impressive performance, with a top speed of 343 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds.

The Temerario’s calm and relaxed cockpit features a 12.3-inch full digital meter display, a vertical 8.4-inch center display, and a 9.1-inch passenger display on the passenger seat. The Urus SE combines a 12.3-inch meter display with a horizontal 12.3-inch center display.
In EV mode, the Temerario, which is equipped with a 3.8kWh battery, has a range of only about 10km, while the Urus SE, which is equipped with a 25.9kWh lithium-ion battery, has a range of 60km, which is sufficient to cover everyday city driving.
In line with its electrification strategy “Col Tauri” announced for 2021, Lamborghini has successively launched the Revuelto, Urus SE, and Temerario, all equipped with hybrid powertrains. With the Revuelto boasting overwhelming performance from its V12 engine and motor, the Urus SE combining practicality and efficiency, and the Temerario super sports car offering ease of handling, Lamborghini has now assembled a complete hybrid lineup ahead of its rivals.
Owners looking for the latest Lamborghini can choose the hybrid that best suits their lifestyle from a lineup that caters to all needs.
