Bentley Motors × Steinway & Sons
A grand piano with a “monochrome” theme

Bentley and Steinway unveiled their first collaboration at a special event held in Hamburg, Germany.
Bentley has collaborated with two of the world’s leading luxury brands, Steinway & Sons, the maker of ultra-premium grand pianos, to present two pieces that embody their shared values of craftsmanship, precision, individuality, and timeless design.
The Bentley Flying Spur Speed, which debuted at the Steinway factory in Hamburg, Germany, is equipped with an Ultra Performance Hybrid engine and features an Arctic White exterior and a piano black wood interior.
The beautifully harmonious color scheme pays homage to the limited edition grand pianos “Ultra Black” and “Ultra White” that Steinway and Bentley released in collaboration. Based on the “monochrome” theme beloved by customers of both brands, the design emphasizes the “aesthetics of minimalism” in the luxury world.
This limited series, a modern interpretation of Steinway’s traditional grand piano, will be produced in a limited run of just 18 Model B Concert Grands and 8 Model D Concert Grands. All will be manufactured in Hamburg and sold as masterpieces that combine Steinway’s renowned precision, innovation, and sophisticated design.
Steinway and Bentley promote technological exchange

In addition to this collaboration, Bentley and Steinway are also promoting technical exchanges in areas such as woodworking.
The collaboration between Bentley and Steinway extends beyond design. The two companies are sharing expertise in woodworking and veneering, and are visiting each other’s factories. This knowledge exchange will foster a mutual relationship of skills and craftsmanship to create pieces that will last for generations.
Wayne Bruce, Head of Communications at Bentley Motors, commented on the collaboration with Steinway:
“Our collaboration with Steinway & Sons combines music and movement with craftsmanship. The Flying Spur Speed and Steinway Ultra Black/Ultra White Edition are the result of a dialogue between these two great companies, resulting in a rare piece of enduring beauty.”
Guido Zimmermann, President of Steinway & Sons Europe, added:
“Our new Ultra Black/Ultra White editions honor our heritage while exploring new design expressions. Not only do they possess the highest standards of musical quality, they are also works of art, created for those who appreciate craftsmanship, individuality and timeless beauty.”
Following the unveiling in Hamburg, the Bentley Flying Spur Speed and two Steinway grand pianos (one in Ultra Black and one in Ultra White) will travel across Europe on a concert tour for customers of both brands.
