BC FORGED TPX62 × LAND CRUISER 250

It looks very powerful

BC Forged, also known as “Taiwan Forging,” is a pioneer in the custom-made forged wheel market, having achieved rapid growth by breaking into the profusion of American companies. Utilizing a cutting-forging method that allows for detailed customization, the company quickly and reasonably provided quality comparable to that of world-renowned high-end brands, and its name quickly spread.

BC Forged’s specialty is multi-piece wheels. They have a huge lineup of two-piece wheels in particular. However, forged monoblock (one-piece) wheels also come in a wide variety of designs and sizes. However, I learned that design, quality, and flexible customization don’t necessarily have to be multi-piece, and that they are even available for tough off-roaders.

The Land Cruiser 250 is a prime example of this. The wheels fitted to it are the new 2024 model, the TPX62. The TPX series itself is part of the Forged Monoblock Truck series. It is designed for large SUVs and pickup trucks, with increased load-bearing capacity and other strength features. The TPX62 has a powerful appearance, and the center circle is precisely positioned, making it a perfect match for the Land Cruiser’s 6-lug (PCD 6×139.7) wheels.

Despite its powerful design, the BC Forged wheel exudes a subtle sense of delicate beauty. The cutting shape of the spoke cross section, the way the holes are connected to the rim flange, and other details would never have been possible without exceptional design and development capabilities and the latest cutting technology. The matte bronze finish also has an exceptional texture. It exudes a sense of luxury and elegance that is not simply rugged.

Carefully forged using an 8000t press

Of course, the performance is outstanding, not inferior to the Land Cruiser models. When developing a new design, they don’t just do armchair calculations such as strength calculations, but take the time to thoroughly test reliability and durability. Then, they create it in-house from aluminum billet, carefully forge it in an 8000t press, and cut it using cutting-edge machining centers (CNC). Because they design and produce everything in-house, they can create the product exactly as they intended.

For this project, the stock Land Cruiser 250 wheels were fitted with 8.5J x 18-inch wheels and LT275/70R18 Toyo Open Country M/T tires. While the size is set to allow for a simple, stock installation, the thick, rugged tire shoulders complement the wheel’s appearance. This was the first example matched by Lager Corporation, the BC Forged importer, and represents an early example of close collaboration between the two, measuring the actual vehicle and working closely with BC Forged. As Land Cruiser 250 customization techniques become more widespread, the ability to order the appropriate size, such as lifting the vehicle or adding overfenders, will be a great advantage. The TPX series, including the TPX62, is available in 0.5J increments from 18 inches to 22 inches, up to a maximum of 13.0J. This goes beyond the Land Cruiser 250 and will satisfy even the toughest geared drivers of other Land Cruisers and Lexus LXs. In this sense, BC Forged offers limitless potential.
