Following the earlier debut of the Q6 e-tron, the Q6 Sportback e-tron and SQ6 Sportback e-tron, which have a coupe SUV style with excellent aerodynamics, have been added.

Audi’s full electric lineup has been expanded with the addition of the sporty coupe-SUV style “Q6 Sportback e-tron” and “SQ6 Sportback e-tron.” The Q6 e-tron features a powerful SUV-like design, but the beautiful proportions combine the appeal of a Sportback. Developed based on the “PPE (Premium Platform Electric)” jointly developed with Porsche, it achieves excellent efficiency and performance, with a maximum cruising range of 656km.

The long wheelbase of 2899mm provides ample interior space, and various parts of the interior have a total of 25L of convenient storage space. Combining the spaciousness of an SUV with the elegance of a coupe, the car has a 511L luggage compartment and a 64L front trunk. With the rear seats folded down, the luggage capacity can be expanded to a maximum of 1373L.

At market launch, the Q6 Sportback e-tron will be available with a battery configuration with 10 modules for a total capacity of 83 kWh (75.8 kWh net). A wide range of models will be available, including two RWD versions, an AWD version (quattro), and the high-performance SQ6. Audi CEO Gernot Dörner had this to say about the Q6 Sportback e-tron:

“This new model demonstrates the versatility of our next generation of electric vehicles. The launch of the Sportback version marks the next step in our all-electric model range. The Q6 Sportback e-tron combines the strengths of our new all-electric models – efficiency, range per charge and performance – with an attractive, bespoke design.”

The overall height is 37mm lower than the SUV model

The exterior of the Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron.

It is completely differentiated from its sibling model, the Q6 e-tron, starting from the A-pillars, and the vehicle height is 37mm lower, giving it a sporty stance.

The sportback roofline, reminiscent of the iconic form of the first-generation Audi TT Coupe, further emphasizes the sporty beauty of the Q6. The Audi design team reviewed the entire roof design, and the vehicle height was reduced by 37 mm compared to the SUV specification. It can be said that the classic proportions of the SUV have been given a unique dynamism and elegance.

The greenhouse introduces a lower, svelte form to the powerful body. Its soft curves contrast with the sharp lines and edges of the body, creating a dynamic shadow effect. The flat rear window and the powerful line extending from the rear taillights to the rear door emphasize the massive “quattro” blister.

The vertically positioned front section features a three-dimensional single frame. Masks in Selenite Silver or high-gloss black are combined with the side air intakes. The digital daytime running lights, placed high up, clearly show that this is the latest Audi. The rear section, which is more dynamically tapered than the SUV version, combines elegance and power.

Interior made with plenty of recycled materials

The advanced cockpit combines the Audi MMI panoramic display and the MMI passenger display. Recycled materials are actively used in the interior.

The interior has been systematically designed to meet the needs of passengers. The properties of materials were carefully considered from the early stages of development. The cockpit is deliberately concealed, and the combination of the Audi MMI panoramic display and the MMI passenger display creates an impressive digital stage.

Like Audi’s new generation models, the car is equipped with a newly developed display and operating concept. The slim, freestanding Audi MMI panoramic display features a curved design and OLED technology, and is comprised of an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit and a 14.5-inch MMI touch display. A 10.9-inch MMI passenger display with active privacy mode is also available as an option. The infotainment system runs on the latest Android Automotive OS.

The Dynamic Interaction Light envelops the interior and cockpit in a large arch, providing numerous communication functions to support interaction between the vehicle and passengers. The soft wrap extends from the doors through the entire cockpit to the center console, creating a comfortable interior space.

The interior, including the seats, is made with recycled materials such as Argumento fabric and Dinamica microfiber. The roof lining, pillars and sun visors are made of draft fabric made from 100% recycled polyester. The S line model also features a soft wrap in elastic mélange fabric, also made from recycled materials.

Four specs available

The lineup includes four specifications with different battery sizes and drive systems, from the entry-level model "Q6 Sportback e-tron" to the high-performance "SQ6 Sportback e-tron."

The lineup includes four specifications with different battery sizes and drive systems, from the entry-level model “Q6 Sportback e-tron” to the high-performance “SQ6 Sportback e-tron.”

The Q6 Sportback e-tron will be available at launch with two battery sizes and two drivetrain options. The entry-level Q6 Sportback e-tron is equipped with an 83 kWh battery and produces 252 PS, while the Q6 Sportback e-tron Performance is equipped with a 100 kWh battery and produces 306 PS. Both are rear-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive Q6 Sportback e-tron quattro produces 387 PS and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The

high-performance SQ6 Sportback e-tron is equipped with two electric motors on the front and rear axles, producing 489 PS. With launch control, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 230 km/h.

Thanks to its high-capacity battery, the Q6 Sportback e-tron Performance achieves the longest maximum range in the series, at 656 km. The Q6 Sportback e-tron with its 83 kWh battery has a maximum range of 545 km. The Q6 Sportback e-tron quattro has a maximum range of 636 km, and the SQ6 Sportback e-tron has a maximum range of 607 km.

Under ideal conditions, the Q6 Sportback e-tron Performance can charge up to 265 km of range in just 10 minutes at a fast-charging station with a charging output of up to 270 kW. Charging the high-voltage battery from 10% to 80% takes just 22 minutes.
