Aston Martin x CarPlay Ultra

First introduced in vehicles for the US and Canada

Aston Martin will be the first automaker to introduce Apple’s new in-car infotainment system, CarPlay Ultra, which combines the power of iPhone with Aston Martin vehicles to deliver the ultimate in-car experience. CarPlay Ultra builds on the capabilities of CarPlay to provide the ultimate in-car solution.

With real-time information displayed on both the infotainment touchscreen and instrument cluster in Aston Martin vehicles, Aston Martin drivers can enjoy features that can be customised to suit the driver and passenger preferences on the go.

CarPlay Ultra will be available on DBX, Vantage, DB12 and Vanquish, and will be standard on all new orders in the US and Canada from May 15, 2025. Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark commented on the introduction of CarPlay Ultra:

CarPlay Ultra is seamlessly integrated into the instrument cluster, which displays the speedometer and tachometer, and offers drivers the flexibility to choose from a variety of custom-designed display options and layouts, including full-screen maps and media.

Aston Martin has partnered with Apple to introduce a bespoke design for CarPlay Ultra. Drivers and passengers can choose from dedicated instrument cluster themes, adjust colours and wallpaper to suit their personal tastes, and control functions such as the radio and climate control via the touchscreen, physical buttons or Siri.

Aston Martin will unveil a new generation infotainment system to coincide with the debut of the new DB12 in 2023. This is Aston Martin’s first in-house developed system, and by working directly with Apple, CarPlay Ultra has been seamlessly integrated into the system.

CarPlay Ultra will expand to markets globally over the next 12 months, beginning with the US and Canada. It will be standard on all future orders and will be available as an update to existing models in the coming weeks through the Aston Martin dealer network. CarPlay Ultra requires an iPhone 12 or later model running iOS 18.5 or later.
