Audi Concept C
Unveiled in Milan, the center of design and culture

Audi chose Milan, Italy, the world’s leading design center, as the venue for the unveiling of the Concept C, which declares the dawn of a new era. CEO Gernot Dörner introduces the Concept C at the launch event.
Audi held an event in Milan, Italy, entitled “Strive for Clarity,” where it gave the world premiere of the “Audi Concept C,” which clearly showed the direction of Audi’s future design. This new design philosophy marks the beginning of a new era for Audi.
The Concept C features a simple and clear design, showcasing timeless beauty and Audi’s unique, stripped-down aesthetic, even in an age of intensifying competition. Milan, a city that has reigned as a center of design and technology for centuries, was chosen for the unveiling as a homage to Milan’s prosperity as the center of the Renaissance from the 14th to 16th centuries.
Appearing at the launch event, Audi AG CEO Gernot Dörner commented, “Audi’s forward-thinking and willingness to go beyond conventional concepts will continue to be a model for the brand,” which is why the Italian design capital was chosen as the starting point for Audi’s new era.
New design that emphasizes simplicity

The Concept C pays homage to the Auto Union Type C and the third-generation A6. It emphasizes simplicity, reducing design elements to the bare minimum.
The Audi Concept C’s new design approach clearly embodies the Audi brand identity. This concept applies not only to the exterior but also to the interior, where cutting-edge technologies and materials are used to open up new possibilities for customers.
Chief Creative Officer Massimo Frascella added of Concept C, “Radical simplicity is at the heart of our approach. By reducing everything to its essentials, we achieve clarity.”
The vertical frame at the front is inspired by the Auto Union Type C (1936) and the third-generation Audi A6 (2004). It is an advanced interpretation of Audi’s design legacy and highlights the four rings.
The powerful shoulder line that accentuates the three-dimensional form of the two-seater sports car is the result of a centrally located battery layout. This is the first time that an Audi roadster has adopted an electrically retractable hard top. The retractable hard top is made up of two roof elements, achieving both a sense of openness when open and a monolithic shape when deployed.
The front and rear lights feature a new light signature with four horizontally arranged elements. This design element asserts Audi’s visual identity day and night. Titanium has been chosen as the exterior color this time. Inspired by the luster of titanium, the color evokes warmth and technical sophistication.
The interior features strong, architectural surfaces and clear geometric forms that subtly surround the driver while leaving space for two passengers. Crafted from anodized aluminum, the physical controls offer a tactile experience that evokes mechanical quality through the distinctive “Audi click” technology.
Audi accelerates its new model offensive

Audi will launch more than 20 new models over the two years from 2024 to 2025. At IAA Mobility 2025, where the Concept C will be unveiled to the public, the new Q3 Sportback eHybrid will also be unveiled for the first time.
The Audi Concept C will be unveiled to the public at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich. Between early 2024 and the end of 2025, Audi will launch more than 20 new models, creating the newest model lineup in the premium segment. Core models such as the A6 will be fully redesigned in spring 2025, followed by the Q3 in summer, and the new Q3 Sportback eHybrid is scheduled to make its debut at the IAA.
An entry-level EV produced at the Ingolstadt plant in Germany and a performance model developed by Audi Sport will be added in 2026. The lineup will combine fully electric models, plug-in hybrids, and models equipped with a new-generation internal combustion engine (ICE), ensuring a solid and flexible position in the major markets of Europe, Asia, and North America.
Additionally, Audi will be competing in the Formula 1 Grand Prix from the 2026 season. Dörner added, “Preparation for our participation in Formula 1 is moving forward at full speed. We look forward to sharing with all our fans the specific direction of what we will be able to show them in Formula 1 from next season onwards.”
