It’s closer to the production model

Caterham Project V
Caterham Cars Japan exhibited at the annual New Year’s custom car festival, Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, which opened at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, and unveiled the latest prototype of its EV sports car, Project V, for the first time in the world.
Project V is an electric sports car that was first unveiled in Japan at last year’s Tokyo Auto Salon. The prototype exhibited this time is a vehicle developed and manufactured for mass production. The interior and rear stop lamps are said to be closer to the production model.
With a view to mass production and commercialization in the future, repeated test runs are being conducted to ensure basic driving and safety performance, and further refinement and verification of the details, typical of Caterham, are being carried out.

Seven 170R Cup
There are also panels exhibiting Yamaha’s e-Axle, a development partner announced last year, and Xing Mobility’s immersion-cooled battery pack technology.
In addition, the one-make race vehicle “Seven 170R Cup” for the one-make race series “CATERHAM CUP JAPAN” which starts this year was also on display.
