The new Toyota Racing team has unveiled the TR010 Hybrid, which will compete in the WEC in the 2026 season.

The improved hypercar “TR010 Hybrid,” based on last year’s “GR1010 Hybrid,” has been released in a new, vibrant red color scheme.

Toyota has announced that its sports car development and manufacturing team, which competes in motorsports such as the WRC, will change its name from “TOYOTA GAZOO Racing” to “GAZOO Racing” from 2026. At the same time, Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe will operate as Toyota Racing.

Toyota Racing will strengthen the foundation that supports Toyota’s long-term technological development through cutting-edge motorsports technology. From the 2026 season, the team will compete in the WEC under the new brand “Toyota Racing,” after competing as Toyota Gazoo Racing from 2016 to 2025.

The improved hypercar “TR010 Hybrid,” based on the “GR1010 Hybrid” used until last year, was unveiled in a vivid red livery reminiscent of the former Toyota TS020. Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi, and Nyck de Vries will drive car number 7, while Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley, and Ryo Hirakawa will drive car number 8.

Gazoo Racing (GR) will be responsible for participating in the WRC and customer motorsports with the GR Yaris Rally 2 and GR Supra GT4, while Toyota Racing will continue to support GR by supplying engines for rally vehicles and producing GT4 vehicles.
