The Audi Q3 will undergo a full model change for the first time in seven years in 2025, evolving into its third generation. It has been updated with Audi’s latest exterior, which is compact yet muscular and chunky. As the odd-numbered names suggest, the car is equipped with an internal combustion engine (ICE), and the lineup includes a standard-body SUV and a sporty Sportback.
The Junior, which debuted in 2024 as Alfa Romeo’s smallest SUV, has a lineup of two models: the fully electric Elettrica and the Hybrid, which combines a 1.2-liter inline three-cylinder turbo with a 48V mild hybrid. This time, we will compare the gasoline-based 48V mild hybrid model Q3 SUV TFSI with the Junior Hybrid.
The body size of the Q3 is 336mm longer, 79mm wider, and 118mm longer than the Junior, and the Q3 has the advantage in rear seat comfort and luggage space. However, when driving in urban areas, you will notice the Junior’s easier handling.

The Q3’s cockpit features Audi’s familiar “Digital Stage” system, which combines an 11.9-inch instrument cluster with a 12.8-inch MMI touchscreen. The Junior Hybrida model comes with a 10.25-inch digital cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen.
As mentioned above, the larger body size of the Q3 gives the edge in terms of rear seat comfort. The Q3 also boasts a significantly larger luggage space of 488 liters compared to the Junior’s 415 liters.
At present, the specifications and price of the Q3 in the Japanese market have not been announced, but considering that the previous model, the Q3 35 TSFI advanced, which has almost the same specifications, was priced at 5.25 million yen, it is unlikely to be priced lower. With that in mind, although the Q3 is ahead in terms of living space and power unit specifications, the Junior Hybrid’s price of 4.2 million yen is quite attractive.
