Thousands of blocks create a realistic car
Many people think of LEGO® blocks as toys for children. In fact, when adults in their 50s today were children, LEGO® blocks were only construction toys for children. However, that is no longer the case. In addition to the traditional simple blocks, there are now a wide range of sets that can be used to assemble complex creations. Some of these are quite advanced products that use thousands of parts and are completely aimed at adults.
The McLaren P1 introduced here is a model made up of 3,893 pieces, and the Mercedes-Benz G500 Professional is a model made up of 2,891 pieces, and requires a considerable amount of time and patience to assemble. For that reason, the finished product is so large and realistic that it’s hard to believe it’s made from blocks. What’s amazing is not only the appearance of the exterior, but also the realistic reproduction of the internal structure.
Actual working engine

The rear door can be opened and closed, and the spare tire, ladder, and roof rack are all realistic.

[1] The structure is just like a real car, with rear and center differentials. You’ll be very satisfied when you assemble it yourself. [2] The interior is just like a G-Class. When you turn the steering wheel, the front tires move in tandem.
For example, the Mercedes-Benz G500 even has a six-cylinder engine with pistons, a transmission, and a differential that can be moved and enjoyed. The doors can be opened and closed, and the accessories, such as the spare tire on the back and the roof carrier, are also impressive.
The suspension is actually movable

There are many moving parts, so it’s fun to assemble. I was amazed at how realistic the engine and suspension were. I think assembling it will help me learn more about the mechanisms.
The McLaren P1’s distinctive curved lines are beautifully reproduced in this large 1/8 scale model. The mid-mounted V8 twin-turbo engine has moving pistons, and the double wishbone suspension also bumps and rebounds. The dihedral doors and hood also open and close just like the real car, and the rear fenders can be removed, allowing for a close look at the V8 engine. The active rear spoiler, a distinctive exterior feature, can also be raised and lowered by turning a dial, making for an incredible level of reproduction.
Of course, since they are made of LEGO® blocks, they are deformed, but the balance is truly exquisite. In fact, I feel that they may be more satisfying to look at than regular model cars that strive for realism, perhaps because they bring back memories of completing my own creations with LEGO® blocks as a child. LEGO® blocks have been elevated to an adult hobby, and they look like they will be the perfect partner for long autumn nights.
