Although detailed specifications were not released this time, the Lyric-V, which will go on sale in the first half of 2025, is expected to have performance worthy of the V Series name.

The Cadillac Lyriq-V will be the first fully electric SUV to bear the “V” designation, given to Cadillac’s performance series, and will go on sale in early 2025.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2024, the V-Series is Cadillac’s performance sub-brand and a benchmark for performance and innovation across General Motors. The fully electric 4WD LYRIQ-V, launched as the company moves towards the EV era, is said to feature superior performance, top-level acceleration, and a driving range that surpasses its rivals.

The car will be available in both left-hand drive and right-hand drive configurations, and will be launched in select markets, including the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. While Japan is not currently included, plans are afoot to expand sales to more markets. John Ross, vice president of Global Cadillac, commented on the LYRIQ-V:

“The LYRIQ-V embodies the luxury, performance and innovation that the Cadillac brand is known for, and our lineup is further enhanced with this latest addition.”

The Lyriq will be Cadillac's first mass-produced BEV vehicle, and will use an architecture called Ultium, which has been developed under the auspices of GM.

Cadillac’s latest BEV, the Lyriq, is a luxury electric vehicle that is a modern reinterpretation of the good old American style of the 1950s and 1960s.

The Lyriq is the first electric vehicle from the American luxury brand Cadillac. It is the latest model to use GM’s Ultium architecture for new generation EVs. We took our first test drive of this luxury EV, which boasts a maximum range of 483km.
