The BMW 4 Series, whose first model debuted in 2013, attracted attention as a derivative model of the 3 Series, which realized the sporty and elegant design and dynamic driving performance unique to a coupe. The 4 Series Gran Coupe, which was born based on the 4 Series, is a four-door coupe that combines the excellent functionality of a four-door at a high level. The first model was released in 2014, and evolved into the second generation in 2021. The model that has now been introduced in Japan is a partially improved version of the second generation.

The first generation of the 4 Series Gran Coupe’s fully electric model, the i4, was released in 2022. This time, it will be undergoing some improvements along with the 4 Series Gran Coupe. The range on a single charge is 595 km for the i4 eDrive40 and 542 km for the performance model, the i4 M50 xDrive.

A bold M performance model

This partial improvement includes the introduction of newly designed LED headlights, and the M440i Gran Coupe xDrive and i4 M50 xDrive now feature red-painted M Sport brakes.

The car is equipped with red-painted M Sport brakes, and the Cerium Gray trim parts used around the front of the previous model have been changed to black. The headlights have also been blacked out, giving the car a sharper image.
