AC Cars unveiled the AC Ace Classic Electric, developed in collaboration with its technical partner Tremec Electric GT, at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Combining classic styling with a cutting-edge fully electric powertrain, this roadster is the latest addition to AC Cars’ diverse sports car portfolio.
The AC Ace Classic Electric features a handmade carbon fiber body and a beautiful interior, perfectly embodying the golden age of sports cars. It’s equipped with a Tremec electric powertrain that delivers 304 PS and 500 Nm of torque, a 72 kWh battery, and a maximum range of 200 miles (320 km).
Following its debut at the SEMA Show, orders are now being accepted for the initial production run of 49 units. Prices start at $275,000, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2025. AC Cars Chairman Alan Lubinsky commented at the world premiere at the SEMA Show:
“We are honored to participate in the SEMA Show with Tremec. The response to the newly developed AC Ace Classic Electric has been phenomenal. This year marks AC Cars’ 123rd anniversary, and unveiling this car with its latest all-electric powertrain and stunning exterior is a major milestone for us.”
Tremec Electric GT, our new partner, is a California-based company that develops and manufactures automotive parts, including electric powertrains. Managing Director Antonio Herrera had this to say about the new partnership with AC Cars:
“Tremec and AC Cars are both companies that understand the importance of tradition and integrity. At the same time, we are committed to challenging conventions and breaking new ground. In developing the new AC Ace Classic Electric, we have embraced new thinking and concepts to innovate. We are excited about our journey together.”
Tremec modular EV platform

Developed based on the Tremec Electric GT “eGT413” modular EV platform, the vehicle weight is kept to 1,134 kg despite being equipped with heavy components such as batteries.
The AC Ace Classic Electric is built on the Tremec Electric GT eGT413 modular EV platform, which produces 304 PS and 500 Nm of torque. It was specially designed to fit the AC Ace Classic chassis and is fully compliant with all road-legal regulations.
Despite the increased number of components compared to the ICE model, Tremec’s expertise ensures that the vehicle’s driving dynamics and handling are not affected in any way. Despite being equipped with a 72kWh battery, the vehicle weight has been kept to 1,134kg. Maintaining a 50:50 weight distribution ensures balanced handling in all driving environments.
Like the ICE-powered AC Ace, the new model reflects the evolution of the original AC Ace, which was produced over a 10-year period from 1953 to 1963. Customers can choose from two different designs. The AC Ace Classic Electric features a distinctive open grille design, while the AC Bristol Classic Electric features a “smile face” design that recreates the original design from when it was released in 1953.
The standard exterior color is red, white, and blue, reflecting the British and American flags that represent the partnership. It is complemented by a handmade black interior with classic-style leather sports seats. As with all AC Cars models, a bespoke service is available to meet customer needs.
