BMW ALPINA B8 GT
“B8 GT” to be introduced at the 60th anniversary milestone

Alpina was founded by Burkard Bovensiepen in 1965. To mark its 60th anniversary, the company announced the BMW Alpina B8 GT, a limited edition model based on the 8 Series.
Sixty years ago, in 1965, Burkard Bovensiepen founded ALPINA. The six employees at the time could never have imagined that the brand would grow into a small-batch manufacturer with global recognition. Despite many changes, Burkard Bovensiepen’s passion and philosophy have remained unchanged within the company.
Alpina has continued to produce special cars for discerning connoisseurs, with luxurious interiors, excellent driving performance, and understated yet sporty exteriors. As a subtle antithesis to mass marketing in the automotive industry, Alpina has repeatedly caused a sensation on public roads and circuits.
Alpina has a long history of releasing exclusive limited edition models, which have become highly sought-after by collectors and enthusiasts. Continuing this tradition of limited edition models, the BMW Alpina B8 GT, based on the 8 Series, has now been born. The B8 GT will be the last Alpina model to be produced at Alpina’s Buchloe facility.
V8 biturbo with a maximum output of 634 PS

The BMW Alpina B8 GT is equipped with the most powerful 4.4-liter V8 biturbo engine in Alpina’s history, delivering a maximum output of 634 PS and a maximum torque of 850 Nm.
The BMW Alpina B8 GT is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 Biturbo engine, the last evolution of the V8 Biturbo, which was also introduced in the B5 GT. With a maximum output of 466 kW (634 PS) and a maximum torque of 850 Nm, it is the most powerful and powerful engine in Alpina’s history. The 9 kW (13 PS) increase in power and 50 Nm increase in torque are achieved through a loss-reduced intake system, two new airboxes with optimized airflow, and revised engine management and boost pressure.
Alpina engineers focused on improving response and performance, creating two distinct driving modes: Comfort and Sport. Optimized for high torque, the ZF 8-speed sports automatic transmission (AT) software delivers dynamic gear changes and improved launch control for optimal driving performance.
Burkard Bovensiepen has always had a passion for fast cars. The B8 GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in just 10.5 seconds. Even after exceeding 200 km/h, the acceleration continues uninterrupted. Thanks to performance improvements and technical refinements, the B8 GT has a top speed of 330 km/h.
The suspension setup has also been thoroughly optimized through numerous test drives and extensive development time. New dome bulkhead struts increase the rigidity of the front end, improving steering response and precision. The B8 GT is available with three steering modes: a gentle “COMFORT” setting, and sportier “SPORT” and “SPORT+” settings.
Luxurious carbon components

The carbon fiber parts used in various parts of the body are understated yet still highlight the sporty performance that is characteristic of Alpina.
The exterior design of the BMW Alpina B8 GT was developed based on the concept established by Burkard Bovensiepen: “form follows function.” It combines sporty dynamics with the elegance of a luxury car. The front bumper air ducts, side dive planes, Air Breather trim, and rear diffuser are finished with carbon fiber parts.
The car is fitted with 21-inch Alpina Classic forged wheels in a satin aluminium finish. A complex forging process gives the wheels a delicate, deep sheen, creating a mirror-like surface. After this process, the wheels are further coated with a matt clear lacquer. The combination of this high-gloss forged surface and the matt clear lacquer gives the wheels a unique, striking and extremely elegant light.
The Alpina High Performance Brake System, optional on other models, is now standard equipment. Multi-piece floating, drilled and ventilated discs and high-friction brake pads provide excellent stopping power. The discreet B8 GT logo on the B-pillar and specially designed door sill plates bearing Burkard Bovensiepen’s signature further highlight the limited edition model.
In addition to the classic traditional colors “Alpina Blue” and “Alpina Green,” the exterior colors will be available in five specially selected exclusive colors: “Arctic Race Blue,” “Verdant Green Pearl,” “Purple Silk,” “Enigmatic Black,” and “Crystal Cassellit Black.”
The traditional exterior trim, Alpina Deco Set, is available in the color Carbon Metallic. Also available, limited to 20 units worldwide, is an elegant two-tone finish: choose from two color combinations: Alpina Blue or Alpina Green with Black Sapphire.
