Revuelto Opera Unica was created with the image of sailing towards Aldebaran, the brightest star in Taurus, and into the cosmic rain.
The Revuelto Opera Unica, unveiled at Lamborghini Esperienza Arte, is designed to resemble a space voyage to Aldebaran, the brightest star in the constellation Taurus. It embodies the interim strategy “Direzione Cor Tauri” announced in 2021, which aims for decarbonization and electrification.
The exterior color, which symbolizes speed and power, required 480 hours of expert painting on top of the standard paint job for Revuelto, with hand-painted layers of Rosso Mars, Arancio Ducco, and Arancio Apodis, combined with a faded effect that transitions from Nero Pegaso to Rosso Efesto.
Lamborghini Design Director Mitja Borkert, who attended the event, gave the following explanation about the Revuelto Opera Unica:
“Lamborghini is synonymous with innovative design and top-level performance, as well as limitless possibilities for color and personalization. The Revuelto Opera Unica is a handmade work of art that expresses in a unique way the immense power, speed and thrill of the Revuelto sculpture. It also gives a glimpse into the creativity fostered by our Centro Stile design center.”
Installations and Urus SE exhibits
In addition to the Revuelto Opera Unica, the venue also featured an Ad Personam PR booth, an art installation combining the Revuelto and the cloud, and the Urus SE PHEV model.
At Lamborghini Esperienza Arte in Shanghai, the Revuelto’s theme of power and performance was expressed throughout the event. In the outdoor area, an art installation titled “The Racing of Speed” was set up, featuring a race between the Revuelto and a cloud (the cloud ridden by Son Goku in “Saiyuki”).
The Urus SE, which, like the Revuelto, is equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, also made an appearance and attracted a lot of attention from attendees. A promotional booth for Lamborghini’s personalization division, Ad Personam, was also set up, attracting a lot of attention from Chinese customers.
Speaking at the event, Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann commented ahead of the Revuelto Opera Unica:
