Audi A3 allstreet 40 TFSI e
A combination of a 1.5-inch 4-cylinder turbo and an electric motor

The A3 Allstreet 40 TFSI e is based on the A3, with an increased ride height. The powertrain is based on the 1.5-liter inline 4-cylinder TFSI evo2 gasoline turbo, combined with a highly efficient electric motor and a large-capacity battery.
The long-awaited plug-in hybrid model “40 TFSI” has been released for the “Audi A3 Allstreet,” which boasts a distinctive off-road look and increased ground clearance. The newly developed 1.5-liter inline four-cylinder “TFSI evo2” gasoline turbo engine delivers a maximum output of 110 kW (150 PS) and a maximum torque of 250 Nm, and is paired with an 85 kW electric motor.
The exterior, like other passenger car-based crossover models, has been increased by 15 mm from the A3 Sportback. Along with the larger tire diameter, the ground clearance has been increased by 30 mm. Wider wheel arch liners have been introduced to match the wider tread. Sporty 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels are standard equipment.
The spring and damper setup has been optimised to accommodate the increased ride height, and the heavy lithium-ion battery is placed under the floor, beneath the rear seat bench.
The internal combustion engine and permanently excited synchronous motor combine to produce a maximum system output of 150 kW (204 PS) and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. The top speed is electronically limited to 225 km/h. The high-voltage lithium-ion battery has a total capacity of 25.7 kWh and contains 96 prismatic cells, ensuring a range of 140 km in EV mode (WLTP cycle).
Charging is possible with a maximum of 50kW DC charging, and the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes. The price starts at 46,000 euros, and orders will begin in Europe in mid-November 2024.
Maximum efficiency powertrain

The Audi A3 allstreet 40 TFSI e, which introduces the PHEV, uses purely electric drive at low speeds and prioritizes the TFSI engine at higher speeds, achieving maximum efficiency.
The plug-in hybrid drive management has been developed to deliver optimal efficiency, and the driver can choose to drive in full electric mode by selecting the “EV” button on the switch panel or via the Multimedia Interface (MMI).
The standard Auto Hybrid intelligently balances the use of the engine and motor. It uses pure electric drive at low speeds and prioritizes the TFSI engine at higher speeds. It achieves maximum efficiency by using both the motor and the internal combustion engine. It also adapts to various driving environments. The hybrid management system keeps the battery charge level constant, ensuring sufficient range in practical use.
The standard Audi Virtual Cockpit clearly displays power, drive mode, battery charge status, driving range, etc. The MMI display, a PHEV-exclusive service, uses animation to show energy flow.
