MG GOLEM × T-STYLE LAND CRUISER 250

Reaching the level of art that will impress connoisseurs

The Land Cruiser 250 produced by T-Style is fitted with 9.0J x 20-inch MG Golem wheels on both the front and rear, combined with 275/60R20 Toyo Open Country A/T wheels. Compared to the stock 18-inch wheels, the presence of the wheels at the feet is more noticeable.

Crimson’s MG brand was born from the idea of creating wheels with a wild design that stands out in outdoor and off-road scenes, but also with a somewhat urban feel. It originated from MARTLE, which incorporated new trends in the United States, and was later branched out as a brand focused on SUVs and light trucks.

Within CRIMSON, which supports people’s lives and leads car culture with an all-in-one lineup like Toyota Motor Corporation, the MG brand is like a Land Cruiser. That’s why the latest models from each brand complement each other so well. The Land Cruiser 250 is fitted with MG GOLEM wheels. The Golem lineup, which was released in 2021, offered 20-inch wheels, which are large for an off-road model. It had a highly compatible and stylish design, as if it was waiting for the Land Cruiser 250 that was released afterwards.

The deep concave, accentuated by the open nut face and accentuated by the center part, is directly conveyed within the 20-inch size. The disc itself is a sturdy 2×6 spoke design, and the beadlock-style design on the rim and the eye-catching center cap also add to its individuality. It has a tough gear feel, but is by no means overly crude. The spoke design, which combines edge and softness throughout, and the subtle brand logo, all give it a street art feel that adorns the city, making it an excellent design.

Although it’s called street art, it’s more than just graffiti. The reason it seems to have reached the realm of artistic merit, even among connoisseurs, is likely due to its high level of practical performance. The 20-inch wheels are manufactured using a flow-forming process to increase strength and rigidity, satisfying the Land Cruiser’s load-bearing capacity while also ensuring excellent off-road performance. In fact, the MG brand has been competing in the Asia Cross Country Rally for many years, achieving excellent results, using the exact same products that are sold on the road. Drivers report that the wheels make their cars feel lighter and more agile, and there have been no cases of damage even when flying or bouncing around on unpaved roads. In this sense, it’s a brand forged in the harsh field of rally raids, and the aforementioned high level of design can be seen as “functional beauty.”

A moderately large 20-inch diameter

The MG Golem matches the set PCD and number of spokes. The 5-lug version has 2 x 5 spokes, while the 6-lug version (PCD 139.7) has 2 x 6 spokes. It is a special design that pursues the ideal image based on the position of the nut holes. The open nut face gives it a three-dimensional concave face, and beadlock-style piercing bolts are embedded in the rim. It is fitted in a deep matte black. A black x machined lip is also available, which makes the rim design stand out even more.

This Land Cruiser 250, outfitted by TSD (T Style), is fitted with 9.0J x 20-inch Golem wheels on both the front and rear, paired with 275/60R20 Toyo Open Country A/T wheels, slightly wider than the stock. The 20-inch wheels have a nice large diameter, and the tires are also reasonably thick, making them a real eye-catcher on the street. They also offer a high-quality yet reliable ride feel.

Just by changing the shoes, the Land Cruiser 250 becomes a model for street-style modifications. The feeling of wearing authentic clothing without trying too hard is certainly a part of street culture, and this can be achieved with the Land Cruiser 250 and the MG Golem.
