Compact and lightweight immersion-cooled battery pack

Founded in 2015, XING Mobility is a global leader in immersion-cooled battery technology, with a production facility in Taipei, Taiwan. After nearly a decade of research and development, the company has perfected its immersion-cooled technology, achieving excellent cooling efficiency, high fire safety, and reliable performance in both hot and cold climates. XING Mobility’s technology has been proven in a wide range of applications, including battery systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery, and industrial machinery, as well as the world’s first immersion-cooled ESS for wind farms.

Caterham Cars has decided to equip its first fully electric sports car, Project V, with XING Mobility’s immersion-cooled battery pack, IMMERSIO CTP (IMMERSIO cell-to-pack). IMMERSIO CTP has been optimized to meet the compact design requirements of Project V, and offers a variety of advantages not found in conventional battery packs.

The IMMERSIO CTP eliminates conventional modular structures with its “CTP architecture,” significantly reducing weight while increasing energy density and ensuring safety. Its compact design allows it to be easily installed in the Project V chassis. Stable thermal management ensures optimal performance even at high speeds and under harsh driving conditions. The flexible design of the CTP battery pack allows for optimal weight distribution in the vehicle, significantly improving driving dynamics and handling performance.
