The two cars are rivals with many things in common, including the fact that they are both derived from sedans. Perhaps this is a result of the fact that, when comparing body size and weight, the two cars are almost identical.
The biggest difference is the wheelbase, but even so, the A6 is only 35mm shorter than the E-Class. This difference is reflected in the difference in interior space, especially in rear seat legroom.

Is the A6 Avant the most reliable?

Both cars use a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine, but the E-Class is powered by a petrol engine and the A6 by a diesel, and both are mated to a mild-hybrid system.
However, because it is a diesel, the A6’s maximum torque is 400Nm, which is more powerful. The larger torque means that you can cruise at high speeds without having to press the accelerator deeply. Considering that the weight of both cars is the same, the A6 may feel more reliable at high speeds.
However, both will offer the high-quality driving experience that is typical of E-segment cars.

Confidence that it can be sold for around 10 million yen even though it is “normal”

When comparing the prices of the two cars, the E-Class inevitably feels overpriced. Setting this price for a RWD model with an inline-four gasoline engine would be impossible without the power of the Mercedes-Benz brand.
On the other hand, the A6 uses AWD and is priced at around 8 million yen. I think many people will find this price to be a good value.
