Mercedes-Benz S-Class
Rivals include the Ghost and Flying Spur

Maybach aims to increase its competitiveness in the ultra-luxury car market through technological and design advancements.
It is highly likely that Mercedes-Benz’s flagship model, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, will undergo a major overhaul in 2025. As competition with ultra-luxury sedans such as the Rolls-Royce Ghost and Bentley Flying Spur intensifies, the Maybach S-Class will pursue even more luxury and advanced technology, aiming to dominate the luxury car market.
The current seventh-generation S-Class and Maybach S-Class were released in 2020. This marks the first major overhaul.
Updated front and rear

The front and rear are camouflaged.
The latest prototype spotted in Sweden shows signs of this evolution. The first thing that catches the eye is the revamped front fascia. New headlights incorporating star-shaped LED graphics and a larger grille with Maybach’s distinctive pattern create a more powerful impression. Larger air intakes have also been added to the bumper, adding a sporty element.
ADAS: Expected to evolve

As Mercedes’ flagship model, it will likely be equipped with the latest ADAS systems.
The only changes seen on the sides of the car are the mirror caps. Underneath these are new cameras, which, along with newly designed sensors mounted on the windshield, will likely see an upgrade to the ADAS. The rear end is expected to see minor adjustments to the taillight graphics and rear bumper. Overall, it is expected that the design will evolve to a more refined one.
No changes to the power unit

The power unit will likely be the same as the current model.
Powertrains are expected to be carried over from the current model, with the lineup likely to include the S580e, which combines a 3.0-liter inline-6 twin-turbo with a plug-in hybrid system, the S580, a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo, the S680, a 6.0-liter V12 twin-turbo, and a mild hybrid inline-6 twin-turbo (S480) exclusive to the Chinese market.
